The Kazinian rainforest is based on South East Asia and Australian rainforest, so I don't take a lot from Africa or the Americas, but there are a couple of things I can't help myself with. Cocoa is one, poison dart frogs are another. Kazin calls them poison arrow frogs, tho, cos they aren't so much on the darts. The armies in tropical Kazin use them to poison their arrows, often keeping a puddle or a soaked rag of their mucus at the bottom of their quiver, or poisoning their arrowheads individually before putting them in the quiver.

There are dozens of different colourations for poison arrow frogs, but all unique to Kazin (ie no real world colourations).

These poison dart frogs are all in the genus Phyllobates, which are some of the most toxic of the dendrobatids. However, these ones are entirely safe to handle being made only of glass beads and wire.
