I like interpretations of Shadow, Poison, and Fear where they aren’t necessarily evil, unnatural, or corrupting elements, but slightly different than Fire, Electricity, Water, Earth, Ice, and Wind. They’re the elements of a predator, of the ferocity of nature, of primal fears. They’re the Gothic Movement to the “Light Elements’” Romantic Movement.

(And besides, the other elements are horrific all on their own).
