Before the invention of the Pokedex, trainers were using the one and only book written by Professor Alchémille : the Pokepedia of the aspiring trainer.
The observation of the Pokemons was neatly reported there. Scientifically questionable, the book was soon replaced by the infamous Pokedex.

L'observation des Pokémons dans leur habitat y était soigneusement reportée. L'approche scientifique étant parfois approximative, la technologie corrigera les erreurs du grimoire avec l'arrivée du Pokédex.
