Pokemonium

I just started it and I'm loving it.  You get to choose your starter from any generation and currently you can play through both Johto and Kanto (though I think more are in the making).  It looks nice and runs relatively smoothely.  There is a bit of a rough transition between areas (going from routes to cities and such) but it lasts for about a second so it really doesn't bother me.

I was playing Pokemon World Online, but I wanted to find something that was less buggy and a little less crowded.  Unfortunately, Pokemonium is a lot less crowded, but I'm hoping it will get more popular as more people hear about it.

Directions:

First uninstall any Java stuff you may have.

Then download and install this.

Do the same for this.  You must have these and only these versions of Java for the game to work properly.

Download this version of Pokemonium (Client 1.4.1).

Launch the game using Start Pokemon.exe (the launcher doesn't seem to be working for me).

Register, log in, and enjoy!

I wanna play but I can't get it to work...

I followed the steps and even watched the video of how to install it, but whenever I open it and press play I get a "file not found" message and then nothing...
