What is the best way to color on this? Every time I use the bucket fill tool it leaves spots, is that my fault?
On a new layer, outline the area you want to color. Set the Bucket to "layer" instead of "canvas" and fill the outlines.

I would choose D), all of the above, with a spatula.
Gallade, Bisharp, or Furret(i think i can tell which one is your pet XD)
Train: Gallade (he's badass)
Contest: Bisharp
Pet: if you though Furret you guess it
cincinno, rapidash, and Lopunny
Train: Rapidash
The other two are interchangeable but I suppose I prefer Loppuny for contests
