My Absence & Pokeraid!
I apologize for my sudden absence from Tumblr; a lot of things were going on with my life, but that hasn’t stopped me from walking 2 miles nearly everyday while playing Pokemon.
Recently, I went to a Pokeraid event down in Houston, TX where over 5,000 people went to catch Pokemon together. I didn’t leave until after 10pm, but not without having caught a Gyarados first! The event was absolutely AMAZING! There were so many people of ALL teams gathering together, doing their team chants, and walking around, working together to catch more Pokemon.
When the Gyarados popped up, I was with some friends I found on Facebook; one was from my team, Mystic, and the other was from Team Valor. At the time, the footprints tracker stopped working so it made it hard to find him. If it wasn’t for all the people gathering by the water, shouting about how there was a Gyarados, we probably wouldn’t have found it. I love how Pokemon Go brings people together like this. I had a really great time and I absolutely cannot wait to attend more events like this one.
