[and on this day we learned

Rue started to walk outside of the castle after speaking with ashton. Her heart was broken, broken beyond repair. He was gone, her knight in shining armor was dead. Her ears flat against her head she trudged on with sorrowful eyes heavy with tears and tiredness. She hadn't been near to the ballroom when Rufus gave the announcement, she couldn't even bare the thought, she wanted to go home, and cry, cry more than she was already. She returned armor to the showcase and started to head home.
[ Rue has left the party, and is no longer available for party interactions. ]

"May I have everyone's attention, please."
"I am afraid I have terrible news." Rufus stands behind the calm symbol, an artifact with the strange ability to alleviate any negative emotion. "The young prince, Ashton has fled the ball and does not plan on returning here ever again." His demonic powers begin to take effect on the large crowd gathered in that ballroom as he alters the memories of everyone involved in the party. The calm symbol amplifies this ability. "The king... Has killed himself by drinking poisoned tea in grief." He pauses to let the false truth take root. "However, that does not mean a ball cannot be held. We shall continue the ball to celebrate the life of the king and his son. That is all."
Care to Dance?
A young female pokemon had her eye set on the dark legendary since he had come into view. She had danced with every male here except for him and she was determined to get him as well. She moved gracefully through the crowd dancing an weaving like it was her born talent. In a way it was really. Her bows wafted from side to side as she moved through the crowd and finally brushed past the pokemon and grabbed his hand pulling him onto the floor but for some reason it stopped her dance. She froze and turned to him who ruined her tempo, "Oh common big boy, come dance with me." She then asked sweetly,
He was in no mood to entertain some pokemon and especially not to get into that mess of beings. She started trying to force him to move gently with psychic but stopped when she realized it wasn't working. So he wasn't just dark he was a dark type! How fascinating. She had not seen someone like him before and his refusal only intrigued her further. "Oh come now, Its a party, so you need to dance." She said a bit more sternly. He gave her a harsh look, "Frankly ma'am, I do not care." He replied. She gave a huff and narrowed her eyes. She would have a dance with him... somehow.
"The calm symbol is set up in the ballroom... While everyone's there, I can make them forget I'm a demon." He's talking to himself, no one around to hear him.
"What's this about a dead king?" Blinks confusedly, I had heard about a prince but not a king, holding a tray of drinks still, and still looking like Rufus.
