Description:
Mochi was asleep in its Poke Ball for an unknown length of time. In that time, the only known Pokemon alive, a Tangela that had escaped from its partner, a Pokemon Professor, had since aged tremendously and begun gathering human-made knicknacks to remember an age long past. When Mochi awakened, it Transformed into its lost Trainer, but was unable to remember every detail of the Transformation. Upon meeting Professor Tangrowth, Mochi worked as hard as possible to rebuild the Withered Wasteland, Bleak Beach, Rocky Ridge, and Sparkling Skylands into the human-like cities they used to be.
Not all Pokemon like humans. However, if it weren't for the skills Ditto learned by mimicking human behavior, Pokemon would not have returned. Some Pokemon have chosen to believe that humans are necessary despite their flaws as a result. Others, like Volcanion and Mewtwo, continue to despise humans for their sins.
Mochi has quite a few abilities it has learned, including basic reading and writing (only very small words and phrases, though), building, and a few Transformations allowing for different moves to be used.
Mochi is different from the typical Ditto-protagonist muse in that Mochi actually can transform into other Pokemon, about as well as it can with humans. However, most of its transformations still lack quite a bit of detail, and instead capture the broad strokes, like a Squirtle's shell being round, but the texture of it is smooth rather than rough, so it lacks those lines between the cracks in the shell because it doesn't quite know how they're supposed to go. It also can't transform into Pokemon that are too big or complicated. For example, it could become a Pichu relatively easily, but Magmortar is out of its reach.
