Update.
So here’s the catch up. Tuesday they confirmed I was leaving on Monday, May 4th. I was freaking out. I quit my job that day, which granted, wasn’t a big big deal considering I was leaving Friday anyways. So I finally got my ducks settled, saw my family, came to the conclusion that I can do this, even have a party set up for Saturday with family and friends. This morning my recruiter told me that I’m back to June 1st. Apparently the uppers failed to mention that if I were to ship out I would go Open Contract, which basically means I would have no job, and therefore be left to pick from a list that they have available. Fuck that. My recruiter told them I wasn’t going, unless I could go Intel (my MOS), so therefore I was put back on June 1st. My stomach is in knots in a whirlwind of emotions... like I don’t know what to do. I was so ready and finally reached the point where it didn’t matter and now I have 30 days..
