the time has come ( and so quickly too ) to open this group. i’d like to thank every single one of you for joining & coming with such enthusiasm about the plot & characters. it has truly blown my mind & i couldn’t be more thankful !! i can’t wait to see your muses interact & develop throughout your time here.
on the activity note, i’m giving everyone until thursday to post in character. as we have just opened, this will be a one time rule. once this period has passed, the activity limit will be one week so please bear this in mind. now that the formalities have been dealt with, let’s get onto the plot.
At every occasion, I'll be ready for the funeral Every occasion, once more, it's called the funeral
due to unknown reasons for delay, the funeral for the late president edward reeves took place on november 25th, 2018. thousands gathered on the streets of washington, dc to pay their respects and support the former first family. the funeral was attended by his family, friends & colleagues. they continue to be in our hearts & prayers. no matter the political alliance, all residents & politicians alike are sombre in mood as president reeves is remembered. we can confirm that a monument to honor both of the deceased has been designed and building works are due to start in late february of 2019. it’s november 26th and the government continues to move as the world does, to go on to improve the life of the masses. yesterday, the world mourned. today, work began.
this roleplay is starting the day after the funeral of president reeves. here are a few things to consider for opening:
if your character is a family member, a friend or worked with reeves in the past, they would have had the choice to attend to the funeral; it is completely up to you if they attended.
the new president has been in office for nearly two months. there are staff that worked with reeves and then those who were brought in following the assassinations.
one of the assassins was shot on sight and the other one is currently incarcerated. this information has been made public knowledge today so make sure that your characters react to that. they were journalists at the washington post.
please refrain from posting open starters set in the white house as not everyone can reply to them. make sure that these aren’t godmodding other players (this means assuming the other did something). get creative !!
for the first three starters in the tag, the starter rule is waivered but please try to reply to one if it’s already in the tags. after three starters, you must reply to at least two BEFORE you post your own. we want to maximise interactions as much as possible here.
you must also answer two starters before doing any kind of STARTER CALL !!
as stated, you have until THURSDAY 29TH NOVEMBER, 1:59 EST to post in character before you’re unfollowed. we need dedicated writers from the start and that includes activity. after this week, activity checks will be done every friday evening as the limit is one week. if this changes, it will be posted on the main.
please continue to plot with each other in this time, not everyone has posted intros yet and i don’t want them to get left behind.
seen as the funeral of president reeves has been a long time coming, i think that it’s best to start off with an optional task:
whether your character attended the funeral, stood on the streets of washington, dc or watched the procession on television, they will have some feelings about it.
you can write a self paragraph of some kind through your characters point of view after witnessing it and tag it with politicus.task. this can be through thoughts, a diary entry, a mood board with a caption to explain each component and how it relates or even a speech that your character has given about president reeves to the press if they’re in the white house. there are so many possibilities so this is your chance to get creative !!
we feel like this will be a really good way to tap into your muse straight away as well as showing others how your muse processes this event. we also want everyone to embrace the plot so this is a perfect way to dive into it.
there is no set time for this task but one week would be best as it’s the start and your character’s opinion of the event may change over any time.
if anyone has any questions about any of the above, drop us an ask or im. HAPPY ROLEPLAYING
