Trump babbles his way through doing a bad job and the polling proves we know it | Opinion
President Donald Trump continues to face low approval ratings, and recent polls suggest that many Americans struggle to understand why anyone supports his leadership.
This isn’t surprising when considering a string of ongoing challenges – from the fallout of his tariff policies to volatility in retirement savings and persistently high grocery prices – all under his watch. Meanwhile, his public appearances have raised concerns, as he often appears incoherent and confused.
During the recent White House visit by the 2024 World Series champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Trump attempted to praise the team’s playoff determination. Instead, he delivered a bewildering statement: “When you ran out the healthy arms, you ran out of really healthy, they had great arms, but they ran out, it’s called sports, it’s called baseball in particular, and pitchers I guess you could say in really particular.”
It’s “called sports,” indeed. And somehow, it’s still “called president.”
