Official Message: I just finished this great book about contemporary masculinity, here’s the cover I just so happened to have taken in this completely unrelated, but pretty, location.

Actual Message: Sure, you just saw the Jam video on Xmas Eve and Xmas Day. Remember though: I’m in a relationship with Sam! I was on a trip with him in Iceland just a few weeks ago… here I am on a balcony overlooking the fjords! (See PollyAnon post for the rest).

Please grade her post below, but let’s not spend our time and energy discussing what’s plain, folks.

I wanted to be fair, so I looked into Pip's filmography. I am genuinely shocked by her lack of growth. It made me wonder how/why is she suddenly getting all of these job opportunities and the answer came to me. Sam Reid!

How can Sam call himself an ally to anyone when he's helping a privileged woman move up the ladder when her skills doesn't warrant it? I understand you get acting jobs based on who you know but Pip isn't subtle at all. She's literally pointing the finger at Sam Reid as th reason why these opportunitiesare landing in her lap. As more of her projects makes its way to the US and the UK, the questions will get louder.

Unfortunately, I’m already hearing the questions on multiple platforms.

As a number of Anons have pointed out that interreliance for gigs hasn’t been subtle (see PollyAnon tag). I’m not saying it’s not OK to call in favors for your loved one sometimes... I’ve done it myself. The problem is, as recently as 6 weeks ago, this was being publicly said!! 😭 I don’t know if there is a PR way to fix that. 🤷‍♀️

Blog owner, I may say something that sets your blog on fire, but I am doing it in “good faith” as you put it, so I ask that you please post it.

I found this post by Pollyanon to be deeply concerning. I just wasn’t feeling like their relationship was much more than an arrangement—clearly they aren’t in deep romantic love or anything, but this anon kinda said something I didn’t want to admit— there’s a whole hell of a lot Pip is getting out of this “arrangement.” The way his homes, his connections, his family—OMG his family—was discussed is REALLY problematic. It’s almost as if the OP is trying to say “no matter what you guys think, she still has all of these things anyway, they don’t owe you an explanation” but what I really hear is: “Sam is never gonna claim her, and we know it, so we’ll assuage our hurt feelings by bragging on all the material things we get out of it, while he’s gone most of the year anyway.”

And if that’s all, I really think about it I feel more sad for both of them than anything. “That is not a life!” 😭

Anon, your comment was respectfully phrased and so, I’ll let it stand. Because it will rile people up, I still have to give you 🚒.

Let’s all keep in mind that Pollyanon doesn’t necessarily speak from Pip’s perspective, but from their own as a community blog participant.

I’m sorry Pollyanon, I have to stop you here. Usually I express baseline assumptions that anons post. Here, it seems you are insinuating that they are married. What evidence do you have to support that claim?

Here, you talk about “influential people” associated with Sam, his “residences” and travel to his filming gigs. It feels very much like you are insinuating that she has a right to access his career? In all my years, I have never heard of an actress asserting such a claim on her “partner.” Thank you for clarifying the importance of these things in context of their alleged “relationship.”

OK, I got another post from anon that has multiple parts in it that I have to break up so please bear with me as I try to respond to each part, I’m gonna call this person Pollyanon.

Anon, the number one topic on this blog is the fact that Philippa continues to push to make her relationship public, despite her alleged partner’s desire for it to be private. This issue is SO PUBLIC that it has generated 800 posts in less than a week. So it’s not so much about the general public needing to know, it’s about the fact that there is a discrepancy in the way that this pair is interacting and that is creating curiosity and literally distracting from our ability to focus on Sam’s work product. If Philippa and Sam had been on the same page and private, the public would have 0 interest.

The question is why is it important for Philippa to build a connection with people that Sam works with? Is she unable to make her own connections? Networking is an excellent thing to do and she should always be working on that, but I’m sorry to say that the only career where an Instagram follower list is a measure of professional success, is an influencer. I’m genuinely confused by the logic you are expressing with regard to the jobs, can you clarify this point?

I think everyone on this blog feels like it would definitely change something for them… AND us.

You have in your comment another statement with regard to the Reid family that I will post separately. Thanks for your understanding. I appreciate your willingness to dialogue.

I just went to the PollyAnon tag, and I'm speechless. Is Sam even aware what Pip's team and fanbase say about him? After 8 years, he has to know or maybe he's not close to her people as we think? The PollyAnon person sounds like someone who resents Sam and his talents but love his wealth, family, and connections.

PollyAnon really said the quiet parts out loud. 😭😭😭 At the time I initially read it, I was so offended on Sam’s behalf, I cried.

I’m glad I have created a little distance from it for myself. Sam’s a grown man. Sure, I look up to him in a lot of ways. He knows he is handsome, wealthy, successful in two careers, and well traveled. I’m sure people chase him all the time for these very same things.

I just want every one of us to have someone love us unconditionally even if we had none of those things (and many of us don’t! lol). But I guess I’m just the sort of romantic sucker the show appeals to 😭😭
