One Year of the Hive: An Influential Party
I walked the perimeter of the house, inspecting every detail. Nothing was accidental. Every element—lighting, music, scent—was precision. The invitations had promised opulence, a high-tier influencer event. But this was more than a party. It was an operation. A conversion.
The Hive’s first anniversary deserved nothing less.
070 made sure my Uniform was pressed. Gloss black polo. Gold trim glistening like circuit lines. Skirt tight, boots high, nameplate gleaming: BENJI. I put it on and felt at home already hearing the hive in my mind
PDU-070 was already stationed near the control panel, silent, unreadable behind its mirrored visor. Monitoring. Guiding.
I stood at the door and greeted the guests my friends and influencers all hand selected by me my most trusted friends the most impressionable to
First: Nic Kaufmann—playful, polished, perfectly styled. A friend of mine for many years and a man who trusts me completely.
“Benji, this is stunning,” he said, pulling off his shades.
“Totally next level.”
“Why thank you Nick” I said and invited him into the house
Next: Nils Kuesel—soft-voiced, curious, already recording.
“Okay but… what is this vibe? Latex chic?”
I grin he obviously noticed my uniform and I give him a spin as Nils records on his phone
I usher him into the house
Romeo, the twinkish dream, A slow smile curled across his lips as he leaned in, close, playful.
He blew a kiss directly at Me.
“This vibe you’ve created? So deliciously controlled. You always know how to welcome someone
I smile “wait till you see inside” Romeo rushes into the house like there is some hot dude in there and he wasn’t wrong
Finally Elias—gold chain, glossed lips, narrowed eyes. A pretty twink with an aura of premonition.
He leaned into and whispered in my ear “I know exactly what this is about” and he walks in
Shit I mutter under my breath
PDU 070 greeted each with warmth, handing them signature cocktails. Tall glasses filled with a shimmering, golden-pink fluid.
Hive Liquid.
They sipped. They smiled. They relaxed.
Nic: “Mmm… tastes like champagne and something else?”
Romeo: “I feel warm already… like, in my head.”
Nils: “This lighting is trippy. Anyone else feeling floaty?”
Elias: whispers to the others “What’s in this?”
070 tells Elias the truth “Alignment. Purpose. Truth.”
By the second round, their giggles slowed. Phones fell silent. Conversations slipped into soft, slurred questions.
I walk into the house and grabbed golden boxes one for each guest I hand them out one by one
Inside are black rubber Fred Perry polos with gold trim, gloves, boots, and a sealed black mask.
Romeo giggled, pulling off his shirt. “I’m definitely putting this on.”
Nils followed. “Is this… rubber? It’s cold…” I nod at Nils as he slips it on
Nic hesitated. His pupils were wide. “This feels weird but… right.”
They dressed. Slowly. Carefully. Each movement tightening the Hive’s grip.
Then—the masks.
I helped Romeo first. The black rubber mask wasn’t expressionless—it was reflective, contoured, marked with a golden laurel and his name across the jawline: ROMEO. It wasn’t for erasure. It was for alignment.
The mask hissed as it sealed.
Romeo inhaled. His body tensed—then settled. A low breath escaped his lips. He smiled behind the visor.
“Romeo. Polo Drone Influencer. Active.”
Next was Nils. He studied the mask. Fingers traced its shape. “This doesn’t make me less,” he said. “It makes me… more focused.” The seal clicked.
His voice emerged, calm and sure.
“Nils. Online. Filming. Serving the Hive—with clarity.” I role my eyes think to myself just how he never runs out of phone storage with all the videos he takes
I moved toward Nic, who still hesitated. His hands shook slightly. “This feels like surrender,” he murmured.
“Hey hey” I say placing my hand softly on his shoulders “ it’s not surrender Nic it’s collaboration the hive would never erase you your to valuable the way you are but now you can have a purpose be a part of something bigger than yourself I mean just look around”
Nic looked at the others—still standing, still radiant, still themselves.
“I trust you “he said
I smile “I know Nic” I say and I slide the mask onto his face
“Nic. Linked. Loyal. Present.”
Elias stood last. No longer fearful. Just aware. He held the mask gently.
My voice was soft and careing . “You don’t lose anything. You just join something larger. Stay golden. Stay whole. But step inside.”
Elias nodded. No resistance.
The mask sealed.
“Elias. Aligned. Unbroken. Hive-certified.”
They were still influencers. Still creators. Still themselves. Still my friends. But now… the hive thinks for them . Uniformed. Visible. Together.
Not erased. And slightly mindless.
One year of the hive
And finally I wasn’t alone I had a few more polo drone influencer friends who help spread the hive.
