Hey! I have a maybe silly question. What is a metamour?

Not a silly question at all!

The simplest answer is that a metamour is the other partner of your partner but is not your partner! In polyamory when you are in a relationship where two (or more) people are dating the same one person, but not each other, those two (or more) that are NOT dating are known as metamours. This is a special relationship all on its own in my opinion because metamours despite not being in a romantic relationship should have a strong platonic relationship. Meaning they should spend time together too, have their own time together that's separate from their romantic partner because polyamory requires a lot of communication and if the metamours don't get along then that's not great for a stable relationship. I know there are some cases where the metamours prefer no contact, but I personally believe having a strong connection to your metamour(s) only makes for a healthier relationship!

Okay, like, what's with the possessiveness in the asks today? This is a game where the MC can have a harem but when one of the MC's lovers spends time with someone else it's suddenly wrong? I guess I can see it in a monogamous relationship with Val but expecting someone to be exclusive for you when you aren't to them is just a bit odd.

As you said, this game has been clearly something in which polyamorous relationship will be shown, from the Queen's harem of consorts to the possible MC's own harem.

I think it was also made clear Valaahr's pragmatism and their ruthlessness and determination in obtaining what they want. This does not take anything off of their absolute dedication to the monarch, it is just who they are as a character.

And, as stated, Valaahr is very open to discussion and compromise.
