You mentioned poly Percy, yes. Any headcanons?
SO, I actually wrote quite a small bit of content on this. However, it did occur to me that you, anon, may not actually be 18 so i should not include any nsfw stuff here. And even if you are 18+, i’d still likely get yelled at for writing about 19-20 year old characters partaking in nsfw activities because they’re from a childrens’ series so I’m going to be safe here!
That being said, I’m enjoying myself so I will be writing the nsfw headcanons and putting them in their own post with trigger warnings and nsfw warnings and 18+ warnings all over it
it takes him a hot second to figure this out abt himself, let alone come to terms with it. He’s in his 20s, maybe the gods start actually leaving him alone (yeah right) and he can actually start paying attention to things besides supernatural drama and Not Dying
Obviously, polyamory as a concept would not be a thing on Percy’s radar whatsoever... but one of his best friends is a child of Aphrodite. Piper helps a lot.
Annabeth, an intellectual, also knows that polyamory is real and valid and she is willing to try having a semi open relationship with Percy. In fact, she’s super supportive and encourages him to explore his sexuality bc she loves him for who he is
Piper immediately starts to set him up with her siblings
while great antics occur between the Aphrodite and Venus kids who live in New Rome and are trying to get a piece of the infamous son of Poseidon, a few dates are indeed had! However, it’s ultimately a bust because... Percy just doesn’t have much in common with any of them, believe it or not :’)
(plus they are all kind of scared of Annabeth, who may or may not be acting as The Highly Protective Girlfriend. Not Because she’s jealous or doesnt want to share or anything like that. She just doesn’t want anyone hurting her boy!!)
More on that front: Annabeth is very excited to be experimenting with their relationship! She’s not quite sure if she’s polyam or not yet but this certainly allows her to find out.
It takes awhile but... after a lot of encouragement and pep talks and hype sessions from Hazel, Frank actually manages to ask Percy out.
He’s suuuuper hesitant and he’s telling percy “if you dont want to, that’s totally cool just tell me, you probably didn’t even know I like boys too, oh gods this is probably super weird for you, you know what, I’m sorry, this is totally way weird for you I shouldn’t have asked” and Percy is just completely relieved. Going on a date with Frank would be Amazing because he’s sick of going on dates with perfect strangers who only know him for his heroics
It’s no surprise to anyone that their date goes very well! Percy even feels confident enough to kiss Frank lightly on his lips before going back home to tell Annabeth all about it
It turns out that talking with Annabeth about his crushes and dates and stuff like that is extremely cathartic and fun for both of them :’)
So now Percy has a wisegirl girlfriend and a sharpshooter boyfriend and he’s a happy happy man
