I like to headcanon that Jane was the only one who retained her body heat in limbo. Like everyone else was either neutral (not quite hot or cold) or they were chilly, but Jane was the only one that was still warm, both because it makes the others more ghostly while it retains the sense of "otherness" for her, and because I like the idea of, rather than everyone else remaining warm while she was gold and ghostly, it's the opposite, and kind of ties back to the fact that she's the one prophesied to come back, while everyone else isn't!
(I mean, I'm a firm believer of "everyone comes back, Penny is just the least affected by her wounds, somehow." Unless it's an angst AU, in which case I choose whether to torture her or Ocean! ^-^ But still, technically SHE is the only one who's meant to come back. In my "Revival AU," it's actually that they were all sent back in time, and Ocean was therefore given time to react after hearing the axle snap, when she just froze up and began panicking in the original timeline. Since she knew the fate that was approaching this time, rather than freezing up (she was still panicking HARDDD though), she managed to push Penny out, and since there was still time, she pushed the others too. The only reason Ocean survived (she wasn't going to have time to get herself out, and honestly? Was kinda making peace with the fact that at least everyone else was probably going to survive if she wasn't going to) is because Noel noticed what she was doing, and no way in HELL was she going to let Ocean be the hero. (/silly, Noel didn't want her dead, she's not letting Ocean sacrifice herself ♥) Also, Ocean and Misha were the last two to wake up (all of them ended up in, fairly short, considering their injuries, comas :3), and both of them took the longest to heal because they kept trying to argue with the staff to get up and go see the rest of the choir, even though they were also heavily injured, argue with the F U C K I N G. W. A. L. L. if you want to say the two of them wouldn't at least try to ignore most, if not all, medical advice to see the others for at LEAST a few days (to at most a few weeks) because they were very worried about their friends/partners.)
