Topic: What does research mean?

For this generative writing I had written that research means to find an understanding and possible answer to a question that a person wants to know. However I feel like this is a pretty general description of what research can be defined as, because there are many more facets to this word. Such as, to write a research paper, you do not ever need to make a definite conclusion and what you research may be disregarded by people who do not share your same views. Also the information that we use as research are not limited to books and articles. Research can be your own life experiences, websites. . . pretty much anything. It also allows you to thoroughly explore a topic that interests you and  also see the different sides of the issue that you are researching. And one thing that I did take from this class is that there is no way to eliminate bias in a research paper, and by avoiding to address it, could weaken a paper. So ignore what your high school english teachers said, and do not be afraid to incorporate a bit of bias.

So here is another remix of a past generative writing.

Topic: Create a character with as much personal context as possible---something along those lines. I remember the goal was to figure out what audience you are writing for.

Name: Person #1661

Born in raised in the Himalayan Mountains. Person #1661 was taken in by a family of Dogtrolls, who taught them the ways of hunting and gathering. Although the only one of their kind, they were not lonely because they were surrounded by the spirits of nature. Especially the wind spirit, they would play games with Person #1661's long, chestnut hair, by flopping it into their face. It was not until a family of demons came that Person #1661 was brought done from the mountain and immersed in modern society. At this point they were given clothes that itched and constricted, however, were necessary to fit in. Later, the family of demons brought Person #1661 to their home in the suburbs of Minnesota where they integrated Person #1661 into the job market in hopes of improving their social etiquette and people skills. it took 10 years and 15 jobs later until Person #1661 was a active member of modern society. At this point the family of demons were entirely besotted with their adopted person and insisted that they change their name and become apart of their clan. So thus Person #1661 became Sebastian, honorary member of the Styx clan.

So here is a remix of generative writing 22: 

Topic: Review of Unit 2

Looking back after completing two units since I wrote the Unit 2 paper, my memory of it is a bit shady. I do remember that I struggled with the concept of the paper since there was not a definite direction to write in as the topic was open. i recall writing about Kurt Vonnegut's 1983: New York, but as far as that, It was wiped from my memory. The process of Unit 2 was more deliberate and there was a lot of professor-student discussion going on to write these essays. This was the first Unit to include the conferences, which I believe were heavily received since everyone wanted to have them again for Unit 3, including myself. Overall I think this Unit really engaged us to think about our writing process and to dissect pieces of work while still maintaining your own personal context.

So I am supposed to relate a president to my topic which turned out to be surprisingly difficult considering I could not think of any robot movies where a President was involved in. That and google failed me. But I did find out that President Barak Obama spoke at the Justice Department about changes in the technology that we use for national security. It was further discussed on what this would mean for our own privacy. I feel like this  would open up too many issues, especially since this brushes the topic of giving up our privacy for protection. . .

Seriously though most movies that include robots usually involve the robots trying to kill people so why do we have this fascination to build them? I understand its to make certain tasks easier but to what cost down the road? I do not know about you but walking next to a potential terminator would make me uncomfortable.

As with all technological advancement, the older generation needs to catch up. The problem is that not everyone will understand or be able to use technology efficiently. Being able to operate technology opens up job opportunities, but it is a double-edged sword as it also may increase job loss if the employee cannot keep up with their establishment's optimization.

'Transformer' robots a reality in Japan

Meet the KURATAS a giant 4 ton 'transformer' like super robot that's torso doubles as a cockpit where a human pilot can sit and operate the machine with the ...

So as the video states the transformer-like robot KURATAS is meant to be used with peace in mind. But what I do not understand is why then they put an arsenal of weapons on this robot. If it is meant to be peaceful, then why is it weaponized? Also what does this new technology mean for us then? Are "transformers" going to become the next nuclear bomb scare?

This is an example of why advancing our technology could cause detrimental reactions. 3. http://natureboner.tumblr.com This although does not deal with technology or robots, I thought it might be effective to see the contrasting view of the natural and the synthetic world. This blog shows the beauty of nature, untouched by human advancement. Unless of course you count the camera that was used to take these pictures.
