just received this lovely lil thing in the mail ~ i can't wait to completely obliterate its perfect condition with highlighting and annotations (and love, of course)!
hi, everyone! this post is coming a bit late, but better late than never!
i’m sienna. i’m so excited to be a part of the langblr and studyblr community and become friends with you all! always feel free to message me about anything~
some facts about me:
i’m 21
i’m canadian-american
i’m queer
INFP
i’m a transfer student and a double major in linguistics and anthropology (so i’ll probably be graduating a little late haha)
i love baking, fashion, playing flute and saxophone, and (of course) learning languages!
my main target language is japanese, but my list of future languages is endless and i’m considering concurrently studying mongolian along with japanese
i have RA, so spoonies are of course always welcome to reach out to me!
some of my favorite studyblrs and langblrs:
@jungcinema @ebonistudies @polyglotprogress @studiesing @scholarstudy @drwestcott @spiritedawaytostudy @rhubarbstudies @worldoflanguages @polyglotten @rinkodesu
some various recommendations:
biri gyaru: an awesome japanese movie about a girl trying to go from flunking to getting into one of japan’s best universities. my go to study motivation.
mynoise.net: i personally try to avoid noise while studying, but if you can’t do without it, this is the place you should go! highly customizable with a plethora of unique sounds.
pigma micron pens: i write very heavily but i don’t like thick lines, so thin mechanical pencils are not an option for me. i use the 0.2 mm pigma micron and i can get that thin line while still writing as i normally do
lotus biscuits dipped in earl grey: best study snack
gardein “chicken” tenders: also best study snack
banana nice cream: good if you want a healthier study snack! just blend frozen bananas with whatever add-ins you like. i like unsweetened cocoa powder.
sleep :-)

first two days of senior year: done! it's crazy to think that i'm already a senior. yesterday was INSANELY busy. i was actively busy from 4:30 in the morning until 11:30 at night. however, it was a really enjoyable day! i loved my seminar. conversely, today is much less busy, but it's been kind of rough. even if today was rough, i have a good feeling about this year!
me: overstudying and gaokao culture is unhealthy! balance is important uwu
also me: takes 20 credits of 400-level research classes, insists on studying in all of my waking hours

I love this class but the homework is so tedious...
does anyone have any tips on how to deal with academics when you can’t afford medicine for mental health issues? i’m really struggling :-(
Thank you guys so much for 200 followers!! I've only had this blog for a short while, yet everyone has been so kind. I hope to get to know all of you, as well as any future followers! 💞
