Saw the AU ask game and thought I’d ask questions 2, 3, 4, and 5 about your Murder Drones AU.

2. Summarize this au in 5 sentences.
Thad and Lizzy are also unfortunate enough to have dormant Solver genes, and the Solver decides it might as well try its lot with all four available puppets at once. Unfortunately, none of these four children are willing to communicate their problems with each other, and they all genuinely believe they’re the only one. Meanwhile, J is traumatized, V is traumatized, and N is cheerfully repressing any and all Bad Things, while pointedly avoiding the gaps in his memory. J accidentally befriends Thad while trying to kill him, and Lizzy decides to avoid the problems posed by her best friend gaining a murderous streak by adopting a new murderous friend. And Uzi and N are off doing canon-typical shenanigans and murder, they’re fine don’t worry about it.
3. Did anything inspire this au?
This AU comes from three main sources: the theory (held mostly by me, and only me) that Thad and Lizzy both have dormant Solver genes, the way Uzi did before the end of the pilot, my canon-divergent Jhad fic where Thad tries to lead J away from Lizzy and Doll during the Pilot and they both end up trapped outside by the sun and the scary murder lady, respectively, and me realizing that I do not have the mental capacity or motivation for two MD longfics, but I also want both of these ideas to exist, so why not just combine them? It also works better, because then everyone has an outlet to exploring the mystery symbol that haunts their dreams! Uzi has adventures with N and her mom’s spooky closet, Lizzy has Doll and then V, Thad can have J, and Doll…well, Doll can do whatever she was doing in canon. So, murder I guess.
But yeah, this is just my self-indulgent “what if everything I like” AU
4. What is a major change you made?
Well, Lizzy and Thad having functioning Solvers is kind of a big change. And then that spirals out into more changes, like Thad and J having their fun little stalemate, and J therefore not dying in the first fricking episode, and Lizzy following Doll around to get answers on her own problems (which? By the way? Why was she even helping Doll with murder in canon to begin with? Like, your friend is murdering people, Lizzy, what the fuck why are you helping).
5. What is something you kept the same?
If I huff enough copium, I can say that Thad and Lizzy having Solver at all is the same (no, it’s not, I am fully aware that theory is grasping at straws a little bit, but SHHHHH). Plus, until late in the AU (probably between episodes 4 and 5/6? I think?) when everyone finally communicates, N and Uzi are having the same adventures and trauma they usually have.
