It's hard to not appreciate having any sort of quadrant filled with Polypa. She's just the definition of cool.
So being her moiral was amazing. Having this sort of bond... Made you realize that you yearn for a different one.
And you felt weird about it. Since it was clear how comfortable she was with you as her moiral... You didn't want to ruin it for her.
But: as she was your moiral- she knew that something was bothering you. Naturally, she asked you about it.
You avoided the topic like the plague. You even went as far as to say that she was making stuff up.
Still, lying to her felt so wrong... Eventually you just told her that you don't think of her the way she does.
You felt awkward, talking about those kind of feelings. You were happy with the way things were... But at the same time just the idea of having something different was tempting.
When you told her about your feelings she was surprised. She needed a moment to think this through, but she didn't give you a clear "no".
So all you could do was wait. And that waiting time was torture. When she wanted to meet up you immediately agreed.
She was flattered about the way you felt. And when you described your feelings, it helped her discover her own feelings as well.
Her final response was her accepting the change. She was a little interested in you before, and that feeling never went away. In a way, your confession was quite convenient.
