hello, southeast queensland guy again with an id needed. so these ants seem to be pretty common here but it's been hard trying to find info, since green head ants and tiny house ants are more common. these ones are bigger than most black ants i've seen around here, about a centimetre long

I'd put my money on Polyrhachis australis or similar!
