Indian PS prices
Polystyrene has posted another firm weekly move in Ahmedabad. HIPS was assessed at Rs 188/kg on March 16, up Rs 9/kg from March 14, and the latest gain follows a sequence of step-by-step increases that has lifted the market sharply through March.
Indian PS prices are now significantly above both fortnight and month markers. Compared with March 2, the market is higher by Rs 48/kg from Rs 140/kg, and the month view against February 14 shows the same Rs 48/kg increase. The short-term range has widened materially, with prices moving from the lower end near Rs 140/kg over the past month to the latest high at Rs 188/kg. On a three-month basis, the market is up Rs 59/kg from Rs 129/kg on December 16, while the six-month comparison against September 17 shows a rise of Rs 57/kg from Rs 131/kg. Indian PS prices have therefore shifted into a much firmer domestic structure than the one seen through late 2025.
PS prices in India are also well above the historical low around Rs 127/kg visible in the one-year series. Trading stayed flat at Rs 140/kg through March 5 before moving higher in stages to Rs 157/kg, Rs 161/kg, Rs 179/kg and finally Rs 188/kg. That sequence points to wider volatility than the narrow movement seen earlier in the month and leaves the market at the top of the current range, Polystyrene, Polystyrene Market, Polystyrene Prices, Polymer Market, Petrochemicals, Recent Peak.
