12/15/25 - Lago Vista, TX - FALL COLORS - Fall starts late around here and we don’t get much in the way of fall colors but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy this short lived display from our backyard patio. This view has changed recently with the expansion of the irrigation reservoir, the outlines of which are the patches of gray In the background behind the tree line. That’s Pond 2, one of three ponds that will be used to irrigate the golf course with treated wastewater. As part of the expansion, all the mature trees on the pond side of the creek, which had previously blocked our view of the pond, were cut down. When Pond 2 is filled after project completion, we’re hoping for a nice view of the water through the thinned out tree line. Plus, when the new golf course irrigation system is installed next year, we’re hoping for a lush green fairway to enhance our backyard view. One thing for sure, the deer won’t mind the progress: they’ll love the increased greenery and easier water access.
