weekend with Toaster
Sandy came through on monday and left us without power for the weekend so brought Toaster into midtown for the weekend. We dropped Tala off at JFK for her 10-day excursion to France, then spent the night in front of the tele.
We ordered food from Pongsri, and chowed down. Toaster tried to pronounce "Disney" a channel we don't get in jerz that he became enthralled with. In the meantime, I got beers from the supermarket and learned how to pour a hefeweizen properly into the hefe specific glass (as directed by Ray Mosher's Tasting Beer).
We watched Juno, which Toaster very patiently watched with me! So well that the next day we went to the movies and saw Wreck-it Ralph. He liked, but didn't love it as he wanted to go home 3/4 of the way through. I think he was afraid of the bugs that Wreck it Ralph had to fight. His favorite character was Vanellope von Schweetz.
