Club foot
So I had club foot when I was a baby. The truly wonderful Dr. Diaz was the one that fixed it, using the Ponseti Method. One of the side-effects of club foot is pain in the Achilles' tendon. Yesterday I was having some pain and I got curious as to how the Ponseti Method works. I looked it up and apparently now it only takes an average of six to eight weeks for the foot to be fixed. I told my parents about this and my mom was absolutely shocked. This was because I had to go through all the casts until I was two years old. I even have memories of my final cast. I have to admit that I'm a bit jealous over this but I'm also glad that now babies born with club foot can have it fixed so much faster than before. On the bright side my doctor has told me that I will never develop arthritis related to my club foot. So in conclusion, the Ponseti Method now takes much less time to complete than it did when I was a baby, and I'm happy about that
