I seem to have fallen in love with Yoongi
Tonight let me talk to you about Poongi. It’s not her real name. But since she’s old (26 years old!) and grumpy, but at the same time cute as fuck, I nicknamed her pony+yoongi= Poongi.
I’ve known Poongi since I was 3 years old, the age when I started horse-riding. She was a horse-riding club horse, and was already very grumpy despite being 19 years younger than now! I always rode in this club, meaning I always got to see Poongi and ride her as a club rider. For those who aren’t really aware of the horse-riding world, a horse doesn’t “work” its whole life. At some certain age, exactly like humans, they get to retire.
Sadly, in still many riding clubs all around the world, to “retire” a club horse means to get it to a slaughter house. Yes. It “could” sadly be understood, as a horse costs a lot of money, and a horse that does not work anymore is a horse that doesn’t earn money for the club.
Fortunately, my club does not send their old horses to a slaughter house. Many years ago they created an association that helps finding new families for the old horses and ponies. They sell them really cheap (as much as the slaughter house would buy them actually, it’s kind of fair), and they keep an eye on the families to make sure the old horse or pony is well-treated.
Two years ago, I was told that my lovely Poongi would retire a month later. I did not hesitate. I HAD to keep her, that grumpy club pony whom I had known and loved my whole small life. So I joined the association and adopted Poongi.
ATTENTION! AN OLD HORSE DOES NOT MEAN A BROKEN HORSE! Poongi and I often go on rides, and once a month we go on a ride to the beach, she doesn’t like the waves, but loves to roll around in the wet sand!
I’ve never been happier in my 22 years of existence than those two late years. And I’m sure it’s the same for Poongi.
I hope I didn’t bore you with my story, and that I could help raise some awareness on the club horses situation! If you are a fan of horses, but don’t want a majestic horse for great competitions, please try to think about all those kind and lovable riding-club horses. They deserved to receive as much as they gave during their long years in their club.
Poongi looks like a sweet ponpon (I couldn't find a cuter word for pony)
She's only sweet when she sees that I have food for her though, that cute little fucker <3
Pureum: *seductively lays on a table in front of Yoongi* hey bab- *table breaks*
Yoongi: I like your pants
Pureum: thanks they were 50% off
Yoongi: I’d like 100% off
Pureum: the store can’t just sell free stuff
Yoongi: no that’s not what I-
Pureum: that’s a terrible way to run business
Pureum: is your phone in your back pocket?
Yoongi: why?
Pureum: because that ass is calling me
Pureum: I love your hair
Yoongi: what?
Pureum: uh, I … I love the air
Hwasa: Dae, I’m so happy I could kiss you!
Dae: uhmm… neat!
[later]
Dae, lying face down on her bed: I can’t believe I said ‘neat’, Pureum. “Neat”. Nobody says neat anymore. It’s the goddamn 21st century. It’s not neat to say neat, but I said it anymore because I’m a huge loser.
Pureum: hey, don’t beat yourself. Everyone gets nervous sometimes. Remember what happened when Yoongi confessed to me?
Dae: didn’t you thank him?
Pureum, staring into the distance: I thanked him
