Behold: a godless abomination!

For context: in the Murder Drones canon, Beau is just a pill baby with tentacles. But I think that's a tad boring and I could go so far with that idea so!

In the Branch 𝛼 AU specifically, Beau is a horrific abomination that goes against pretty much every law of drone engineering and has no physical reason to be alive in the first place. Part of their casing is just missing, and the exposed components are used as a mounting point for jointed limbs and weapons. They have a twelve-year-old consciousness trapped within a body built for three years at most, which puts further strain on their pitiful power source. The flash-printer of the Disassembler arm barely works at all, starved of materials and power. Their OS, through both a lack of processing power and their unnatural build, has been butchered such that nothing can repair it short of starting from absolute scratch, affecting them such that even if given a normal body they will likely never be able to move as well or precisely as their fellow drones.

When the Sentinels killed Alice, they quickly realized that the beam they'd selected to fight with would, even if it managed to hit the intruders, fry their battery and leave them as roadkill. So, they chose instead to spend his last moments to free V - give her the chance to escape that they wouldn't no matter what they did, before they left to blissful nothingness. At least, for the time being...

In other words - Beau got the short end of the stick their entire life such that the effects cannot be reversed.
