I think Raleigh and Mako would be such meme lords like one day they’re in the mess eating lunch and Mako jump scares Raleigh and he says “Stop! I could’ve dropped my croissant!” And everyone else is like ??? Cause he has pizza?? And then Raleigh will burst into the room and Mako will go “someBODY ONCE TOLD ME” and it’s a silent rule that if one starts the other has to finish and it confuses the hell out of literally everyone. Oh, my God, what even would the memes of 2025 look like?? I mean, the kaiju war has raged for 10 years, and jaegers aren’t all the rage anymore. I feel like most people still online would either be rich people safely inland or really hard-core, jaded survivalists with little more than jury-rigged modems and gallows humor.
But there would definitely be kaiju memes. I have a feeling kaiju shit would be a prominent fixture. Drift compatibility would be big, obviously.
