DogDay. There are jerks (male, female and in between) who look like they walked straight out of a fashion shoot that are far too ugly on the inside to ever love. You are respectful, kind, protective enough not to be overbearing. Do you think you’re more scared of Angel saying no or of them being “disgusted” by the idea? There’s a difference. I can only imagine what going through the Bigger Bodies project moment did for your self esteem and self image. No doubt not-pleasant things.
But, relationships can be more than physical attraction. Plus! You have to admit Angel’s a once in a million person who is willing to help anyone regardless of what they look like or what they did. They saved Catnap from being freaking skewered for crying out loud. There’s a real possibility for a relationship, but take your time.
Dogday crosses his arms over his chest as he listens, gaze adverted to the floor.
“S’pose them being disgusted is what I want to avoid.” Dogday admits quietly. Since moving outside of the shared house, it feels a bit easier to be more honest. The fresh air helps his shot nerves, at least. “I don’t want to mess this up. This is heaven, and if I do something wrong, I don’t want to lose it.”
He cracks a more genuine smile. “Angel is one in a million. Nothing like I’ve ever seen before in my life, and I’ve seen plenty of things. Their friendship means everything to me. I ain’t gonna ruin it by being a lovesick puppy.”
“Thanks for the pep talk. I do feel better.”
