About the Twin Emperors and their Childhood
I´ve posted this HC before, talking about how I think that when they were kids, I hc each had a different preference concerning their toys. Caracalla I hc that he really loved his wooden animal figurines. Especially the horse ones. He would take wooden soldier toys and sit them on the horses and play war. I imagine there was a horse painted in a beautiful, teal blue color with gold accents that was his favorite. Sometimes he would name his horse toys. Him and Geta would always fight over how the course of that imaginary war would go, having observed their father in military meetings (kids often copy their parents after all).
Again, concerning Geta, I don´t think he was attached to toys in terms of quantity, at least not as much as his brother was, but I think there was this one particular ragdoll toy baby Geta was genuinely attached to and maybe even still remembers in his adulthood in rare moments. It´s a memory deeply burried into his mind. A soft ragdoll toy, not a wooden figurine or wooden doll with movable limbs, though I do believe Roman children had these as well. I´d have to research more on that topic, but I do believe that Romans understood comfort toys for children and that some of them needed to be soft. I hc little Geta´s beloved childhood ragdoll as soft and wearing a beautiful red dress. The color would lose in intensity overtime, and the details on the clothing would become less visible, fading overtime and the toy showing signs of frequent love. Maybe the doll had a simplified face stitched on, with a soft, tiny smile. It broke little Geta´s heart when the adults took it away from him.
