Roman: Oh it was the best, Specs, the best! Janus and I spent the whole day at the theatre, just laughing and talking. I was showing him around, he really seemed to enjoy it! Did you know his favourite colour is yellow? And his favourite animal is the snake! Wow! And the important part is that Jan got to see how much he means to me, he’s not just the forgotten fourth son.
Logan: I’m glad you two had a nice time. So, where is he? Where’s Janus?
Roman:

Can we see past Virgil’s reaction to Janus punching him and breaking his own hand? I feel like that would’ve freaked Virgil out, you know?
Virgil stands next to Janus, looking entirely unphased by the Yuan-ti who is red in the face with anger. Tired of his flippancy, Janus finally reels back and punches Virgil square in the chest.. but you see his wrist bend sharply when he connects, and he yelps and pulls his hand back, tears forming in his eyes -- partially from the new injury, partially from the stress of the previous argument.
Virgil definitely reacts now, quickly snatching the wounded hand, ignoring Janus’s yelp when he pulls him closer to look at it. He presses his hand gently in various places, looks for bruises, and asks Janus to move various fingers. Janus tries to argue with him more for changing the subject, but Virgil just sternly repeats the question. You can tell Virgil is nervous and upset, but strangely, his expression hasn’t changed at all from that neutral frown. Janus seems upset by this.
After a few minutes of testing, Virgil seems sure a few of his bones are broken. He sighs and grabs Janus’s uninjured hand, then slips his other hand between the smaller man’s legs, deftly lifting him up onto his shoulders. Janus yells and struggles, practically screaming at Virgil now, but Virgil has him almost entirely immobilized with one arm. The only thing Janus can do is swing with his injured arm, which he doesn’t seem keen to do. Janus swears and snipes at Virgil, and the dark elf lifts his own free hand to cover Janus’s mouth and keep him quiet. And, really, this is becoming humiliating.
Virgil carries Janus to where Remus is sitting, and sets him down next to the barbarian, instructing the barbarian to heal him while Virgil finds supplies to make him a cast. He walks away, as nonchalant as ever, and Remus asks Dee what happened. A few furious tears slip free from him again, but you know it has little to do with the physical pain...
