owasera’s main theme is familial bonds and love; kimizuki trying his best to cure his sister, shinoa and shinya being really close despite shinya being a foster child (the rest of the hiiragis are exceptions), yoichi’s resolve to protect his friends after his beloved sister’s sacrifice, guren being a father figure to yuu just as krul is a mother figure to mika, and most importantly mika and yuu’s non-akin familial relationship (and the other hyakuya orphans) and their devotion to each other

and then you have aoi not giving a shit whether her sister mitsuba gets slaughtered by a human experiment she herself helped in conducting and even calling her not worthy of being alive wtf
