(( Headcanons huh? Well, well, how about this? Velka was at one point or another trapped in the Painted World of Ariamis herself before escaping through unkown means. Perhaps she was in the building the Undead Dragon broke the bridge too? She either looked after Priscilla herself or ordered her followers not too allow Priscilla to be killed... not a lot of good that did against the 'evil' players though ))
I like this as well. Killing Priscilla is considered as sin too.
This is something that came up on my mind due to your theory:I like the idea Velka was eventually imprisoned for her actions against gods by royal gods, she and her closest followers were locked away in isolated realm called Ariamis, including the dark magic tools so they would be as smallest threat as possible. That would explain why there were so many guards in the hall of painting. They let no one in, nor out.
This crosses a bit into Priscilla too, this is my own view and I won’t force it to anyone: I like to think once Velka was staying in Anor Londo, back when she was working with Gwyndolin, she would have made friends with little Priscilla. In some texts Priscilla is called ‘bastard’ so it would be most likely she wasn’t… well, equal to others there, perhaps lightly unwanted child who should remain in shadows. The doll you use to get drawn into painted world mentions Priscilla had no place to be as crossbreed and squeezed it hard, getting drawn into painting. Now even Velka was gone, she perhaps had approached the painting and get drawn into it, because of sorrow and strong hope to get there as she didn’t find any reason to be in Anor Londo, as unwanted.
Of course Velka would then take the small one under her protective wing while planning way out, some of them settling there to make living there at least little easier. Some of the people would have eventually turn into harpies due to devotion, perhaps because of a curse of experiments they would have been doing there. Plenty of time to plan out and make counter move against the gods. Perhaps some of the monsters remained there also because of the curse, her followers loosing hope and turn into demons and hollow, drawing the people further and further back.
Velka of course, would remain in a place she would be watching. Perhaps even found out how effective Priscilla would be against the gods. Once Velka would have found the way out and ready to leave with the survivors or only by herself - Priscilla wouldn’t as she wouldn’t have been loved back in real world, she would rather remain in lonely world, with some other people deciding to stay there for the half breed.//
