Our First Sickness Bug 😷
Having both a 2 year old and 4 year old we should really count our blessing that up until now we have been very fortunate that the sickness bugs have passed us by, well that fortune has turned ha.
After a surprisingly pleasant and productive day in the office, home for some excellent stuffed mushrooms (store bought) and tantalising ravioli and another enjoyable albeit wet and windy run we must have chambered into bed for no longer than 5 minutes before…
Daddy 😪… Daddy 😭
Ewan bless him shouting for a cuddle or so I thought when entering his bedroom and proceeding to embrace him before realising in the knick of time that the lil dude had actually scared himself by been sick all over his bed and poor bedtime bear.
It's horrible to see your children upset , even more so knowing they are scared when all you can do is just be there for them. So into our bed he crawls for what we know is going to be restless night as now not only is he poorly but he's in our bed and the one thing about Ewan is he's a wriggler. He will move from top to bottom, twist himself around sleeping sideways, upside down and even on the one occasion on top of my head and all whilst asleep.
However it was not long before he was back to his normal giggly self and placed securely back in his own bed and off to the land of milk and honey. Half an hour passes and it is now the turn of his older brother Jack who at 4 years of age is much more aware and therefore slightly more upset at this horrible feeling taking over his stomach.
One more bed change and sick incident later Jack is finally fast asleep enjoying a warm embrace with his dad, before the dawn of a new day...
To be continued...
