On Keeping Bathroom Mysteries Unsolved

I think by now we all understand that “poopourri” sprays work. Exactly how they work is actually really simple:

You sprits an oil-based spray into the water in your toilet boil before you use the facilities, and the oils in the spray spread out across the surface of the water creating what is basically a smell barrier. Once your “item” has been delivered, the stink is trapped beneath the oily surface water, and thus, cannot get out to let everyone in the area know what you’ve been up to lately.

The key ingredient in any of these “poo sprays” are the oils. Other ingredients, such as antioxidants, surfactants, emulsifiers and antifungal preservatives only aid in making the odor eliminating sprays more effective. Sprays that use essential oils typically serve one function only, which is to be used as a poo-spray. This is because many essential oils are skin, eye and lung irritants, or they may stain fabrics.

When creating our own line of sprays, Flame Noir Candle Co. took into consideration the concept that a single product should be useable for a variety of household functions. Using natural, premium fragrance oils, we created a formula that is air and fabric safe, while also working to cover the grosser elements of pipe and tobacco smells, and the even grosser elements of straight-up poop smells. We wanted one product that could serve multiple functions - but we took something else into consideration, too:

Not everyone in the world likes the scent of strong floral sprays.

That’s the bottom line. So, while we do offer several floral scent varieties, we also offer scents ranging from coffee and tobacco to leather and sandalwood.

Just remember, folks: It’s your life. Don’t let others tell you you’ve got to tolerate a sickly-sweet cover-up scent just to enjoy the benefits of a secret poop.
