C H A P P E D L I P S Did you know that our lips have no oil glands? This makes them super susceptible to drying chapping, and sometimes flaking! _____ It’s that time of year again we have to deal with chapped dry lips… At least I know I do. ________ The weather is cold and dry outside, and indoors the air is dry as well. Indoors, especially because of the heater that sucks all the moisture out of the air, and subsequently moisture out of our skin and lips! ____________ I have tried a few remedies over the years, but I recently received a gift from the newly launched Pop Deco @amarteskincare to work. I tried it on withskepticism, and boy am I glad I did! _________________ I applied it overnight and woke up the next morning to super moist lips. Even during the daytime, it doesn’t feel as heavy, sticky, and cakey as other products feel sometimes . We often produce a limited run of accessories and when they’re gone there gone. These paperweights are made using 5000 year old Bog Oak. It has a dense beauty about it, the colour is natural and intense, it is a truly precious resource. The logs from where it came have been carbon dated, these huge oak trees died standing up when their roots became completely water logged. They fell and became submerged, the lack of oxygen ensured they did not rot but became semi fossilised. A throwback to last year and the making of the Basso AV cabinet. Our brief was to design a low and sleek unit with understated detailing but also to have our signature splash of colour. I think we succeeded. At almost three metres in length, we wanted to disrupt the shape and break it up into three smaller pods. This allowed us not only to create interest, but to add our signature coloured elements which act to separate the cabinets. We used @grassmovementsystems Kinvaro soft down and soft up cable stays and their Tiomos hinges. Externally we’ve used graphite dyed oak veneer. Internally is a mix of solid rippled sycamore and veneer.
