Hello, all of my wonderful little fruitcakes! You all know what time of year it is.
I always wondered why you came to my place instead of the other way around. I just assumed it was from the move... - @from-the-pinnacle Nico
HEY. I don’t need this!
A YEAR????
Well, I certainly have a bed NOW, don’t I??
Happy Birthday, fratellino. Don't think I forgot - it's the easiest one to remember... - @papa-in-perpetuum
Grazie. Remember, we are exactly this age. If anyone asks how many candles you would like on your cake, do not answer.
"So, I may have had these done back last year. I didn't know if you'd still want them after, well, everything, but hopefully it might make a difficult birthday a little better.
" I also have some, ah, more risque shots, too..."

I have found our next brand sponsor.
Talking about wine, Papa, can you give me a recommendation for a sweet wine that *Isn't* dry? I hate dry liquor of any kind.
Sadly, I cannot help you much… Because I think most sweet liquor is vile. But I do know a few general categories of sweeter wine.
There are many types of dessert wines— some are made for sipping, some are made for dipping. Port, sherry, Madeira, some rosés, moscato, Vin Santo… Vin Santo, now that is a dipping wine. Very very strong, very very sweet. Like a shot of fiery caramel! You do not drink that one from a normal wine glass. That would be far too much. You take small sips while dunking your biscotto (or cantuccini) in the little glass. It makes the biscotto softer and sweeter, and it warms you all the way down after you finish your dinner.
I am not sure where that would be available close to you, wherever you are, but I highly recommend it. Especially with biscotti alle mandorle, those are the real thing. A plate of those, and a table of friends? One of the best things in life. La dolce vita, right on your table. It creates wonderful memories and enjoyable conversations.
But, for your purposes, try a moscato. Those are typically sweet and fruity, with less alcohol. Some are even fizzy. Find something cheap, but not too cheap. Less than $20, but more than $10. That will give you a solid middle ground. And look for the sticker!
