Helppp Boom! I really wanna post art of all my ocs but im afraid of ppl not seeing them, stealing them, or think i stole my designs from others! Where do you get the courage to post all ur great ocs?? I love your characters and art theyre like GOALS

In my opinion, designing anything and everything is a product of creating something based off of things that already exist. Hell, half of my characters are just a conglomeration of things I like from other series. Most of them are actually Pokemon gijinkas that I’ve since made into their own thing.

And there is absolutely no shame in any of that.

I’d say that if you made a character that you’ve spent a lot of time developing and creating, then share them with your followers. Sometimes they end up being a hit, sometimes they don’t, but if you made them and love them and want to draw them, go for it. Tell your friends about them. Make fill-in-the-blank posts for them. Tag them in funny tumblr shitposts. If you love them, other people will eventually discover that they love them too. And if people don’t like them and go out of their way too tell you that,

Fuck ‘em. Seriously.

If they have nothing better to do than take the time out of their day to tell you something negative about what you made, then they don’t deserve the time of day for you to acknowledge them. Theres these fancy things called a blacklist or an unfollow button that they should really get antiquated with. Taking creative criticism is one thing, but getting hate is another. As long as you know that difference, you’ll be fine.
