37) Do you research before writing or while you write? Is it fun or boring for you?

Most of my research is done while I'm writing, but some is done before. I usually have a barebones idea about where I want to go with something, and before I write it in much detail, I do research so that I'm starting from a more sure-footed place. Research can be a little boring at times, but when it leads to a rabbit hole, I tend to enjoy it more.
