Beauty Tip - Clean those pores, naturally, effectively and inexpensively
You've probably tried Biore or a similar product to lift that black dirt and oil (blackheads) out of the pores on your nose or forehead. And they work pretty well. However, they are not cheap. Did you know you can make your own pore cleaning mask for pennies? Here's how.
Use 1 part unflavored gelatin to 1.5 parts water. Combine the two ingredients in a small glass bowl and heat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. Use a waxing stick, a leftover popsicle stick, a plastic knife or whatever you have on hand to spread the mask AFTER you've let it cool for 1-2 minutes.
IMPORTANT!
1. Don't let it cool for too long. The mask will become stringy and impossible to apply.
2. This mask is incredibly potent - DO NOT get it on your eyebrows because it WILL pull them out.
3. Some people use this on their whole face, but it might cause redness and irritation on the more sensitive areas of your skin. I recommend for your first use, ONLY apply to areas with visible blackheads. Most likely that will be your nose, chin and forehead.
The mask should harden in about 10-15 minutes. Use your fingernail to pull up an edge once it's dry, and it should pull off it fairly large sheets.
If you find this peel too painful, accidentally get it in your eyebrows, or have bits you can't pull off, simply rinse thoroughly with warm water and it will rinse away.
