Is it better to rent standard portable restrooms or go with luxury portable restrooms?
It really depends on the setting, but I’ve seen both standard and luxury portable restrooms used in a variety of situations. The key differences usually come down to comfort, accessibility, and how long people will be using them.
Standard portable restrooms are most commonly seen at construction sites or large outdoor events. They’re basic, typically just a toilet with little or no access to a sink, and limited space inside. They work well when people only need a quick stop and aren't expecting anything beyond the essentials.
In contrast, I’ve also seen luxury portable restrooms at weddings, work events, or multi-day festivals. These tend to have a few extra features like sinks, lighting, and a bit more space. Sometimes there’s air conditioning or ramps for accessibility. From what I’ve noticed, people seem more at ease using them, especially in situations where they’re outdoors for several hours or days.
I have also seen arrangements that include portable restroom rental options, such as portable showers or complete bathroom units, especially in more long-term or remote venues. These appear more prevalent at festivals, disaster sites, or locations where overnighters are staying. Again, not necessary in all situations, but convenient when the circumstances require it.
I don't think one solution is necessarily better than another. It really depends on the situation, how many people are anticipated to come, how long they're going to stay, and what type of access or comfort is appropriate for that number.
