and here is my portalverse headcanon:nathianel is pretty much the same as in canon. he is a member of team miraculous and when he found out marc was a shifter he took a potion to make him a shifter too. he is very close to ruggie who he sees as a brother.

Hello, Jim. There’s a weird robot guy standing over you. The room the two are in is plain, like an old-fashioned hotel room. There’s a long-dead, wilted plant in the corner, and an imprint in the bed from Jim laying there for so long. An aged painting is hanging on the wall, and some bits of the wall and floor have rotted away to reveal nothingness and deteriorated mechanisms around the room. Glass lines one entire wall, giving a big view of the currently ruined state of wherever they were.
“We just gotta, er... we might have to pass through a room with a pretty unsavory guy sitting in there, all deactivated, but we’ll be fine! You in? I managed to hack into some stuff and clear away a pretty good path to freedom before I woke you up. Thank god you’re not a vegetable, am I right? ...whoops, I sure do talk a lot.”
He seemed pretty optimistic. Too optimistic. Not his fault, he was designed to make people happy. Specifically the homicidal robot in control of the facility to dampen said homicidal tendencies.
