Port Franks, Ontario

I had been thinking about having a family cottage weekend, with my parents and sister for a long while and it finally came together this summer. After a few tries of deciding where to go, we decided on Port Franks, Ontario, in the municipality of Lambton Shores, located on the southern shores of Lake Huron.

My parents were more interested in the fishing potential that Lake Huron had to offer. My sister and I were just looking to spend time away and enjoy the area. Unfortunately, Lake Huron fishing is ideal if you have a boat, which we did not. So, although only small fish were caught and thrown back, we still had a good time exploring Port Franks and spending time together. I hope this will be the first of many family cottage weekends.
