As I came close to the bridge that crossed over to the finish line of my #portlandtocoast relay this past weekend, I had a weird feeling coming over me of happiness and relief and in an instant, I let out a soft cry and tears came running down my face and I had to take second to think to myself as to why I was even crying.... it obviously dawned on me that I was crying because I was so proud to have completed this! There are a lot of things we set out to do in life and when things get hard, we change our plans or distract ourselves from the matter at hand because we are comfortable with where we are at and decide that maybe it’s easier to just wade there for a moment... or two... and 4 years go by and we then the moment passes and so we pretend to ourselves that it’s ok. Well it’s not ok... omg this weekend was so inspirational and I encourage everyone to put something on their calendars and figure the steps it takes to get there and the check it off and see how you feel!! I really do! My family will put together a team for next year!
