Portraits Writing Points

I had the opportunity to photograph my chosen partner and close friend Mikaela this past Monday. We planned on doing test shoots of one another to get a grasp on what we wanted to do for our assignments. To capture a part of someone you know so well and that no one else can truly understand has been a huge challenge. She dislikes being photographed and the exploration I did of her brought out pieces of her that I believe I could only capture through the long exposures. 

Sitting for her was difficult. It felt forced and though I tried to give her the me she knows it was hard. Like her... I don't feel comfortable being photographed. Her images of myself give me things to think about.
