✨ general portrayal notes for god's favourite princess and the most interesting girl ✨
in act i, she'll behave mostly like her early access self aka all the snark, all the sass, the brusqueness, and the dark humor. the released version dialed it down and whilst i do adore her in the released version, i love her early edge a lot more.
generally "good" aligned play through. i put good in quotes because sometimes you don't intentionally save the grove, sometimes it's just a byproduct of a selfish need for knowledge on how to get the damn tadpole outta your brain. i am also more than willing to explore "evil" playthrough dynamics (again, it's in quotes bc sometimes you don't slaughter the grove ... the grove slaughters itself bc kagha psionically tells people that you attacked her for idk executing a child???)
act i and early- act ii can be summed up by the words cognitive dissonance
i am much more partial towards her exile path versus her dark justiciar path — which means she frees aylin from the soul cage, defies shar, has a mental breakdown hair cut etc
i lean towards the theory of her hair being white after the shadowfell as a result of the pain and torture she endured. so in short : marie antoinette syndrome.
that being said, if i were to play her as dark justiciar the ending is still going to be her betraying shar. she'll free her parents and take them far away from the cities. it's due to personal discomfort that i can't fully commit to the route of her becoming mother superior.
i understand her canonical model and general consensus is that she's a white woman. however, on this blog she's portrayed as mixed race ( white and asian - wasian ) if a modern verse should arise. that being said, this will influence how i adapt her post-game and her finding her roots as a person.
my preferred ending is her saving her parents and then moving into a cottage. i don't believe the curse is entirely incurable and it'll bind her and her parents' fate to shar forever even into the afterlife but that'll be a whole post on its own because forgotten realms lore is messy.
though i also do very much adore the moonbathed adventurer ending as well! that's something i like more if she was romantically (or ever queerplatonically) involved with someone just so she's not lonely on the road.
also on the topic of religiosity: her powers are blessed by selune, yes. she's a "moonbathed" cleric, yes. but she's not gonna be a devout selunite. at least not for a while. for my default portrayal, in early act iii she will begin to dip into a few levels of ranger as she still understands the importance of her being the group's healer and because she needs to adapt to using a bow more frequently than she has in the past. after defeating the netherbrain she will fully transition into the ranger class, taking up the subclass of gloomstalker which allows her to use the skills she's learned as a sharran and reclaim them for herself.
introspection. so much introspection. she's having a crisis of faith every goddamn minute but she's trying to talk herself outta that crisis as well. so her internal dialogue is a whole mess (what it means is if i write you six paragraphs of her thoughts it's fine if you don't match length in fact if it's not natural for you to please don't ahaha)
body dysmorphia. it'll be a common topic relating to her whether about her wound/curse or her in act 3 about her scars, her body, her feeling unclean etc. plus, due to a lack of a coherent identity (her memories being literal chop suey at this point), she has a messy relationship with gender that she can't quite articulate but know it's There.
i'll be treating her like she's never had sex or kissed before because she's voluntarily wiped her memories, so she's gonna be a little cautious and nervous about it. the innuendos and sly remarks you hear her make is a front to keep the vulnerability of her lack of experience behind a hidden achievement (plus the body remembers traumas!).
there will be flareups where she isn't crying out or is noticeable to others. this is inspired by the fact in her origin, she doesn't always cry out and her companions don't notice her in pain. the moments where her wound flares and others know mean 1) it's excruciating and/or 2) she trusts the other person enough to express herself.

(:
Covered topics: Spiritual Energy (Yin release) + genjutsu // Embedding commands directly into chakra/fuinjutsu // His genjutsu against other Sharingan users, Kakashi and and Nagato // Layered Genjutsu // Sound Genjutsu + His own sound genjutsu // Chakra Suppression Technique + ANBU skills // Psychical Energy (Yang release) // His illness // Wind release jutsus ( I came up with those based on his and Naruto universe lore in general bc you know aside from Fire and Water releases, he also has Wind release but no specific jutsus were shown soo )
Yin release + Genjutsu: In Naruto universe, Chakra is created by blending two distinct energies: Physical Energy (Yang), which is collected from the body's cells and physical training, and Spiritual Energy (Yin), which is derived from the mind, soul, intellect, and emotional experience. It uses spiritual energy to control imagination, creating form out of nothingness, and is inherited among the Uchiha clan (though of course there are exceptions ). Most genjutsu also fall under the categorisation of Yin Release. Now, Itachi possessed the intellect and philosophical depth of a Hokage from childhood. His intense mental discipline, sharp focus, and deep emotional trauma exponentially magnified his spiritual energy. When he injects his chakra into an opponent, his spiritual energy (Yin release) is simply too dense and overwhelming for a normal ninja's mind to resist. If the victim has weak spiritual energy, Itachi's signal instantly overrides theirs. They lose control of their five senses completely. To break out of it using "Release," the victim must violently surge their own chakra to overpower the invader's signal. But because Itachi’s spiritual energy is so massive and precisely controlled, normal ninja cannot produce a strong enough mental surge to push his chakra out. And now add Sharingan to this, his use of genjutsu is immediately facilitated. That and, Itachi wins his fights through precision and genius — he finds the exact crack in your mental armor and slips a flawless illusion inside.
Embedding commands directly into chakra/fuinjutsu: In the Naruto world, most ninja need physical objects (like tags, ink scrolls, or hand signs) to store and seal jutsu. Itachi’s ability to manipulate the Yin Release (spiritual energy) was so absolute that he could mold chakra into a complex "living program," hide it inside another person's biological body, and set a timer or a trigger that could sleep for years before waking up. It proves that Itachi didn't just use his eyes to cast spells; he understood the deep, scientific code of Uchiha biology. Likewise, he could seal his Yin energy in objects and other things such as crows, his fingers etc and that serves as a trigger. If someone looks at the chakra infused item, the illusion is automatically cast. Because opponents are always paranoid about making eye contact with his face, they purposely look down at his hands, his feet, or the crows flying around him. By doing this, they walk directly into the alternative traps he laid out, completely unaware that his chakra was already waiting on those objects to infect their nervous system.
His genjutsu against other Sharingan users, Kakashi and Nagato: In the Naruto world, high-level eyes don't need the user's conscious permission to defend them. They are constantly filtering incoming chakra attacks. Hence it is much harder to put a Sharingan user under a genjutsu. And, Genjutsu is powered almost entirely by Yin Release, meaning its strength is determined by the raw quality and volume of your spiritual energy. As descendants of Indra Otsutsuki, the Uchiha clan naturally inherited the "Eyes of the Sage" and an incredibly potent, dense pool of spiritual energy. That said, there is a hierarchy within the system of the eyes of Sharingan. Starting from standard Sharingan, it keeps evolving. Thus, while Itachi can easily put a low-tier Sharingan user under a genjutsu, he would not be able to do so as easily to another MS user or above tier Sharingan user like EMS and Rinnegan. Still though, Yin release aka spiritual energy control plays a huge role in casting illusions. If the other is weak in yin release despite being a power-house, he can easily trap them in not a single illusion but multiple of them. But please note that he spent years to master everything there is to Genjutsu and even if other ninja knew the basics, they would not be able to easily break free from his illusions. The same goes for Sasuke's MS, EMS+Rinnegan. Kekkai Genkan is a thing, you know. It is also why Kakashi fell so easily to Itachi's Tsukiyomi: Even though he had a Sharingan, his body couldn't handle the genetic requirements to filter Uchiha spiritual chakra. Because Kakashi lacked the passive biological firewall, the illusion successfully uploaded, and he was tortured for 3 days in a fraction of a second. The same goes for Nagato; As a non-Uchiha who received transplanted eyes, Nagato never trained in the subtle arts of mental manipulation. He does not know how to inject chakra into someone's optic nerve to warp their perception. I also want to point out that in order to break an illusion one need to output a strong pulse of their own spiritual energy. Hence so many struggle against Sharingan and the Uchiha clan's naturally possessed potent spiritual energy. And combine with Itachi's massive spritual energy.. (: But ofc, there's no need to mention Madara's dfglkfjh. But mind you, this also why makes Shisui's eyes so special because that guy's genjutsu does NOT require any of these. It alters a person's desire immediately ayoo.
Layered Genjutsu: A layered genjutsu is an advanced illusion technique where the caster hides deeper multiple illusions directly inside the first one. It functions as a psychological trap that exploits an opponent's confidence by abusing their understanding of reality. Advanced eyes like the Mangekyou Sharingan naturally detect foreign chakra intrusions. However, they rely on the user realizing that something is wrong. By tricking the victim into thinking they already solved the problem, the layered illusion stops the victim from checking their chakra a second time or more.
Sound Genjutsu: The trick with sound genjutsu is that it attacks the brain differently than visual genjutsu, creating a unique biological trap. When an Uchiha gets caught in a visual genjutsu, their body is usually still free to move for a brief moment. They can form a hand sign (the "Release" sign) and forcefully surge their own chakra to break the illusion.High-level sound genjutsu (like the ones used by Jiraiya's toads or Kabuto) causes instant, total physical paralysis. The victim cannot move a single finger or form a hand sign. Even though an elite ninja like Itachi or Madara instantly realizes, "My chakra is being altered," their physical body is locked out from executing the command to fix it. Again, to break a genjutsu from the inside without hand signs, you have to output a surge of chakra that is stronger than the illusion holding you. High-level auditory illusions completely hijack the victim's nervous system. Trying to force your chakra to obey you while a constant, vibrating sound wave is actively rewriting your brain waves is nearly impossible to do alone. Kabuto's sound genjutsu was especially strong since unlike Jiraiya who needed his frogs, Kabuto did it himself, and so Itachi needed Sasuke's help there. But I also would like point out that Itachi knew of sound jutsu, meaning he probably developed his own form of sound jutsu. Yes. His crows. This is my personal headcanon but when you hear his crow, there is a 90% chance that you are already under his sound genjutsu. And now you have to wonder how tf im caught. Like Nardo.
Chakra Suppression Technique + ANBU skills: It is mentioned in the novels but he already knows how to suppress his chakra. This technique allows the user to suppress their or their allies' chakra to the point that it becomes completely undetectable. This makes it impossible for sensor type shinobi to track them via chakra. While this technique is very useful in allowing one to infiltrate an enemy's ranks, due to having one's chakra suppressed, they will be unable to use jutsu. He probably perfected this during his ANBU years. Also listen, ANBU operatives undergo brutal training to completely mask their physical presence. Itachi without a doubt mastered the art of suppressing his breathing, heartbeat, body heat, and scent. This is why even legendary tracker ninja and sensor types could never sense Itachi approaching until he chose to reveal himself. That and, ANBU training prioritizes targeting vital biological choke points (the carotid artery, the brain stem, the heart) to secure silent, instant deaths. Itachi combined this lethal precision with his Sharingan. He didn't just throw shuriken to do damage; he calculated physics trajectories to blindside targets, cutting off their vocal cords so they couldn't scream for backup.
Psychical Energy (Yang release) + His illness: First and foremost, Yang release is not the same as Taijutsu. Yang release is a specific type of nature transformation that uses Physical Energy to breathe life into form, change physical size, or grant immense vitality. It is a chakra application, not a fighting style. While they are different concepts, ninja frequently use Yang Release to supercharge their Taijutsu. Massive users of this? Our lovely Tsunade-sama and Raikage, and yes Sakura-chaaan. Unlike Yin Release, Yang Release is mostly inherited among the Senju clan, but again with exceptions. Ah I can hear you say, wait so don't every ninja need to tap into Yin and Yang to use their chakra? YES. But listen, the element called Yang Release happens when a ninja specifically filters their chakra to use only the physical, life-giving, or mass-altering traits of the energy spectrum. Itachi used it to fuel his highly unique, physical clones, High-Speed Body Flicker jutsu, and because Itachi’s physical body was rapidly breaking down, he used his master-level control over Yang Release to artificially force his failing organs to keep functioning. Now here comes his illness.
His illness: Now I used both the series lore and my creativeness here. Listen. Apparently Chakra Sickness exists. This occurs when a shinobi possesses an incredibly powerful chakra network that their physical body cannot keep up with, causing the internal pathways to slowly rupture and degrade the immune system. In the novels, when Danzo first meets him, he tells young Itachi that the lines on his face are signs for chaos. He will live his life in grief ( something like that i don't remember the exact wording sorry ) Anyway. This highly points at the creeping illness imo. We also see when Itachi awakens his Sharingan and uses it during fight, Shisui mentions that Itachi's body is not yet able to keep up with the dojutsu. And now add his early exposure to the awakening of the Mangekyou Sharingan at a young age. It likely triggered immense systemic inflammation, accelerating this internal breakdown. It all began to go downhill here I reckon since apparently during the Uchiha massacre, he was able to use his Tsukiyomi 5 times without any problems but in the following years? Yeeeeaaahhh. That and, listen. According to the Itachi Shinden novels, Itachi survived as long as he did by visiting a secret shrine to get specialized, hyper-aggressive cocktails of medicine. These drugs were incredibly toxic. While they forced his body to keep producing chakra and artificially extended his life long enough to fight Sasuke, they came with horrific side effects, including burning his lungs from the inside out and literally poisoning his own bloodstream. Thus, his chakra illness ended up mutating into MPA-like systemic vascular destruction due to the extreme strain of the Mangekyou and toxic medications. Awakening the Mangekyou at age 12 likely caused a massive, permanent autoimmune shockwaves through his nervous system, and the toxic drugs he took to stay alive simply finished off his organs.
Wind Release Jutsus: Listen I had to go fully creative here. But because we didn't see a single Wind Release technique I am going to say he mostly used his Wind based jutsus during his ANBU years. Here are some I came up with:
Fiery Storm : A Fire-Wind Combination Jutsu. In the Naruto universe, Wind naturally feeds and supercharges Fire. Normally, it takes two ninja working together to pull off a Fire-Wind combination attack. Because Itachi mastered both elements, he developed a solo technique where he exhaled a Fireball Jutsu and immediately followed it with a precise gale of Wind Release. The wind causes his fire to instantly expand, burning hotter and covering an entire battlefield in a massive, inescapable firestorm using very little of his precious chakra.
Storm of Amaterasu: Now actually, Itachi would have used this in canon but because he didn't actually want to kill Sasuke.. Remember when Itachi's amaterasu was following behind the fleeting Sasuke? If only Itachi fused his blames with wind, he could have covered the entire area very quickly but no, that was not his intention. But that doesn't mean he can't. This actually helps with the problem of Amaterasu's focusing on one single point and grants him less usage of chakra when large areas are needed to be covered.
Wind Style: Kinetic Gale Propulsion: Because Itachi’s physical stamina was heavily limited by his illness, meaning he couldn't afford to run back and forth across a massive battlefield, he uses Wind Release as a tactical booster. By emitting a sudden, pressurized burst of wind chakra from his lungs or limbs, he propels himself forward or backward or any direction desired instantly. This allows him to dodge massive physical attacks or close the distance on an enemy with zero muscle strain.
Wind Style: Silent Execution Sphere: As an ANBU assassin, making noise is a death sentence. So, during his younger years he learned to manipulate atmospheric pressure, creating a literal vacuum bubble around himself and his target. This vacuum shell completely traps sound waves inside so that when the situation calls where his target becomes loud or he has to detonate an explosive tag, will hear absolutely nothing. This uses a lot of chakra though so he prefers not to use it repeatedly / only when necessary. Oh wait what if he and Shisui came up with this - AHHH YESSS!!!
- Now he sometimes uses wind release to sharpen the damage of his weapons or add to their speed. But mostly no, he doesn't need to use extra chakra. But in case, the situation calls for it, he has learned to use his wind release this way.
at this point in time, my portrayal of zuko is going to be mixed media and heavily headcanon based. the original animation + the live action + the comics. (currently reading them.)
> live action takeaway: zuko's artistic side, the 41st being spared due to his sacrifice/their loyalty to him, the official agni kai between him and ozai being extended as opposed to zuko not wanting to fight his father. zuko's softer nature at 13: he was timid, and unlike his father and sister, he felt that weight of a loss rather than thinking of it as an honor to die. his harder nature came when he was banished and he had to learn survival so young. he is half-blind and hard of hearing on the left side where he was burned.
> animation takeaway: basically... mostly staying on that course. tweaks to be made between adaptations depending on who i'm writing with.
i think the most important thing to remember is that zuko was 13 when he was humiliated and assaulted by his father in front of a crowd. younger zuko had his mother's personality. he was an honorable teenager who had morals, unlike his father and sister. his burn mark and shaved head are reminders of the shame he brought himself. ("shame" according to his father.) he was thrown to the wild and if not for iroh and the 41st, he could have been far off worse than he was. (!!!not excusing his tantrums, verbal abuse, and harrassing behaviors - merely providing insight.) iroh is the one who showed zuko love and care, and the 41st eventually grew to respect the banished prince. zuko's journey to restoring his honor wasn't for himself. he wanted to be accepted back home and was seeking validation from his father. he was young and didn't realize it at the time just how wrong his father was and could arguably believe that he deserved his punishment.
zuko is not a killer. he may attack and talk big game, he's skilled in firebending and martial arts. but no where on screen or even off has he been seen or hinted at as being a killer during his journey to finding the avatar. emphasis on harrassment. he might bully people and throw flames around while being loud about it, but any chance he'd had to kill someone, he pulls back before he can do anything severe.
zuko learns along the way that the honor he was fighting to restore and the fire nation were wrong. he spent most of his time just trying to find the avatar that he didn't see the harmful and corrupt ways of the fire nation. mind you, he was a child who grew up in a bad setting. he was blind to what the fire nation was doing until he saw it firsthand or encountered those who were victims of the fire nation. dropping his search of the avatar is his means taking the steps of restoring his honor.
zuko doesn't know how to be a teen. he's awkward, unloved by his family aside from iroh, and was never given the chance to process emotions or act like a child. he learns with the gaang, but even then, he's a work in progress.
most importantly: he started off as a villain, ended up as a hero. he didn't see himself as a villain to start. as far as he knew, fire nation was always right and it took venturing out into the world and experiencing hardships to see the truth.
iggwilv, or tasha, was an oerthian archmage and demonologist who ascended to archfeydom. in universe, she is known as one of the plane' most powerful archfey and an enemy of the nine hells for the chaos she wreaked. the iconic spell tasha's hideous laughter (and other similarly named spells) are credited as her creations.
some titles that she is known by are beloved and hated of graz'zt, matriarch of diabolists, mother of iuz, daughter of baba yaga, apprentice of zagig, the witch-queen of perrenland and author of the demonomicon.
interaction notes:
you can interact with tasha at any point of her timeline or during her time in prismeer. if interested, your muse could be the person who frees tasha from the spell that has her frozen in place and we can figure out interactions from there. outside of this, i default to tasha living in one of her many domains and bases, still looking for a way to resurrect drelzna (among other things). her motives will not be open advertised, nor will it be immediately discovered.
tasha is also credited as the mother of witches and may take on warlocks, though this is rare and requires plotting. in other verses where another being is credited as the mother of witches, i will adapt tasha to fit that lore while still retaining the fact that she is powerful and a fairly old being.
i lean towards this portrayal of tasha to be a combination of various sources. my primary sources are tasha's cauldron of everything (duh), dungeon master's guide (5e), dungeon magazine #149 and my own headcanons. influence from slavic and eastern european mythology and fairytales will be had.
the rest of her history can be found under the cut.
content warnings for hedonism, tyranny, canon-typical violence, manipulation and gaslighting, suggestive themes. tasha and graz'zt alone have a very tumultous, toxic history and relationship that will not be watered down. you have been warned.
early days as baba yaga's adoptive daughter:
tasha is the adoptive daughter of baba yaga (yes, that baba yaga). her origins outside of this fact remain largely unknown and left purposefully obscure. it's only known that when she was a baby, her parents gave her to baba yaga. tasha (then called natasha) grew up in the dancing hut. at ten years old, she was taught to summon demons. she had a contentious relationship with her sisters, even despising elena the fair. this results in their eventual betrayal of her.
tasha eventually leaves the hut to live in the world of greyhawk, "looting sealed vaults of arcane treasure meant to be kept from ill-intentioned mortals." she takes on the name "hura," and lived in a tower near the city of lopolla. she breaks into the vault of daoud and steals daoud's wondrous lathorn. all the while, she conducts terrible magical experiments. she is chased out of the region by the enraged populace.
at castle greyhawk and with the company of seven:
she changes her name to tasha again, moving to the city of greyhawk. tasha writes a magic tome called "lore of subtle communication" and invented the spell tasha's hideous laughter, among others.
while in greyhawk, she joins the famous company of seven. she apprentices under zagig, even becoming his lover. they battle the mirror masters of pesh, imprisoning their mirror doubles in castle greyhawk. together with zagig, she obtains the ichor lance and summons fraz'urb'luu. the lance is used to wound and bind him to the castle, with tasha extractng as much demonic and arcane knowledge as she could. after building the god trap at the bottom of castle greyhawk, tasha steals everything she could from zagig's library, including the tome of zagig, and leaves.
graz'zt and iggwilv, the death of drelzna:
taking the name "iggwilv", tasha flees to the yatil mountains and takes control of tsojcanth, a mage and son of fraz'urb'luu. there she summons and binds graz'zt, the demon lord of pleasure and tyranny. using the tome of zagig as a base, she extracts information about demonology out of him. this would be known as the first demonomicon of iggwilv.
tasha and graz'zt begin a tumultous and extremely toxic (at least by our standards) relationship. they have a son, luz, who is essentially a demigod.
during this time, she also has a daughter, a vampire named drelzna. the father is largely unknown. iggwilv moves into the lost caverns of tsojcanth, even raising an army and ruling perrenland for ten years. during her reign of terror, she accidentally frees graz'zt and they battle. they find that neither of them want to kill each other. despite this, iggwilv is badly wounded and graz'zt flees. her servants abandon her and the people of perrenland revolt against her. she flees and tsojcanth is hidden and bound. drelzna stays to guard the lost caverns but is eventually slain by a band of adventurers. heartbroken and enraged at her death, iggwilv becomes obsessed with somehow resurrecting her.
iggwilv aids her son iuz in building an empire in the world of oerth. perhaps in a bid to help or to start her quest to resurrect drelzna, she attempts to bind graz'zt again but he is ready for her this time. he ends up capturing her and bringing her to his real. though sources claim (and even tasha herself claims to have been his prisoner), she willingly sits on a throne alongside him and has many other children with him. their dysfunctional relationship starts to fall apart as iggwilv uses the enemies she's seduced for graz'zt to make him jealous and vice versa.
a good summary of their relationship boils down to this quote: "graz’zt and iggwilv had come to understand that they loved nothing more than hating each other, and they hated nothing more than loving each other." many feared that if iggwilv and graz'zt really wanted to, they could take over the abyss. it is both a good and a terrible thing that they mostly take their shit out on each other.
escaping graz'zt and her exploits after:
an enemy of graz'zt, the nalfeshnee tuerny, frees iggwilv from her "imprisonment". tuerny and iggwilv try to build an army to invade oerth, but they're thwarted by an adventurer called tenser and a group of heroes (return of the right). tenser thwarts her attempt to steal the crook of rao. graz'zt and tasha's tumultous relationship continues still.
at some point during or closely after this time, graz'zt gives iggwilv the fiend's embrace, a cloak made from the skin of a pit fiend named drokkarn. she eventually gives the cloak to one of her many mortal suitors in an attempt to enrage him.
prismeer, witchlight and her sisters' betrayal:
after tuerney breaks her out of azzagrat, she builds a manor in the astral plane. i need to place where it happens and comb the availaible books more, but tasha eventually ascends to become an archfey. she creates her own domain of delight, prismeer. after some time in the feywild, her appearance and nature begins to become more fey-like. she takes on the name zybilna.
as zybilna, she rules her domain for a time and supposedly refocuses her study on the fey instead of demonology. she begins a relationship with isolde, the owner of a carnival in the domains of dread, but as most of her relationships tend to, it turns into an unhealthy obsession. she removes his memories of her after isolde trades his carnivals to the beings witch and light.
eventually, she's found and betrayed by her half sisters: the hags of the hour glass coven and the league of malevolence. using her infamous personal cauldron, they freeze the witch queen and many of her palace's other inhabitants in time.
I dont want to die in the dark… please. I’m afraid of the dark
Wiress’s name was one of the lowest on the betting board in the 49th games. A scared girl from District 3, who only stood at a handful of victors and only one in the past two decades, couldn’t have killed anyone, much less survive.
Wiress was never meant to survive.
Born into a family of coders and engineers in District 3, Wiress soon proved herself to be intelligent. Her true skills lay in coding, able to piece together the instructions for a machine like it was as simple as an instruction card… she also became quite observant. Never too social nor too fond of anyone, Wiress spent a lot of time alone as a child.
Which she never minded, it gave her time to observe. And that observation culminated in her ability to see disaster before it struck… a favorite assistant by the time she reached the age of 16 for her ability to see the problems before they occurred.
It saved her life in her games. It cost every other tribute their lives. Wiress won a bloodless victor…
Wiress won by tempting the last tribute, who had already gone mad, into a mirror. She had to remind herself to remember how easy it was in the end. Count cannons. Wait until the end.
Wiress spent the 50th games mentoring that year’s victor… until her mind was torn apart. Until she felt like she’d been dissected and placed back together…
She’s still not certain she isn’t a muttation… the capitol’s mind control drugs were strong… and she knows she was fear conditioned
That was the hubris of the Capitol, to let her live. Because while there were some that death could break… there was no torture that could truly break her mind…
But it did give her an easy cover. Because the capitol loved a fragile young genius, so tragically young to lose her mind.
Here is portrayal notes for River, this list may be added to at any time and I'll likely reblog it from time to time when that is the case.
To clarify a question that is not asked but is necessary to answer: if you are a Doctor rper, unless I can tell off vibes on your blog you ship doctorriver/you state it/we talk and it's clear that you're cool with writing it, I treat River's marriage with anyone's Doctor as queerplatonic. (I will not erase her love for the doctor from her character as that is a part of her and her development as a person. And no, I'm not basing her whole person as someone who loves the doctor, I'm saying that the love she has for them and whatever form of love they've had for her helped break the programming Kovarian put her through.)
Akin to Susan, who views the Doctor as grandfather regardless of regeneration, River views the Doctor as her spouse in every and any regeneration, even when she keeps it to herself.
I do touch on her trauma and how that effects her as a person and influences the things she does a bit more often than canon does.
River has great respect for the Doctor's companions/loves that come before and after her. This includes Rose.Tyler, Jamie.Mccrimmon, Donna.Noble, Clara.Oswald, etc. She also has a section in her diary where she keeps information that the Doctor has shared about any of them.
She keeps in touch with her DNA-engineered siblings: Brooke, H2, and O.
I acknowledge that she is adoptive mother to Kamen Vers (although complicated situation there), Charlotte Lux, and mother-figure to Joshua and Ella Noble (in the data-library).
I should state, My Version of Eve understands what she's done wrong in life but she also knows with the bad came good as well so she doesn't fully regret it
She will always stand up for herself and will have a 0 tolerance when people are coming at her in a aggressive, hostile or angry manner
She will try to defuse but if it doesn't work and a nerve is hit she'll slam back in 10 fold with little to no remorse for what she's saying or doing
In a case ((if discussed of course that it's fine)) that she slaps someone's character she would not apologize especially if they're in the wrong
Eve believes everyone can learn from their mistakes it's just they have to be willing to learn from them.
Redemption is something for some in her eyes not all
