She half glared at him, he could have said please be quiet. Instead of forcing his hand over her mouth and commanding her as if she was some girl from district 4. She had tensed up and then relaxed when he let her go. She was still trying to figure out why she was in Finnick’s company in the first place, all she knew was 13 needed her alive for something. She wanted to say something but the look in his eyes when he shushed her prevented her from saying anything, he was worried about something.

Introductions

Iris hadn’t really wanted her best friend to volunteer for her in The Quarter Quell when her name was called. She couldn’t do anything about it now though. Katniss was going into the Games and all Iris could do was charm sponsers into giving her friend what she needed to survive. At the moment the raven haired female was standing with Katniss as she petted the horse. Pushing her hair out of her face Iris spoke quietly. “I think you made a huge mistake Katniss. I could have survived the Games. President Snow wants you dead so he is going to try and throw everything he can at you”

Katniss patted Iris arm “I made it through the Games last year with your help Iris. Peeta and I will do it again this year. Just worry about Haymitch. He was upset when your name got called until I volunteered” Shaking her head Iris laughed some “My dad doesn’t care about me. All he wants or loves is his booze”

Draco was on his way into the Muggle world via the Leaky Cauldron’s alley wall when the charm allowed entrance to a strange looking, daresay, muggle man. It was clear the bloke was without a wand and the fact that he looked utterly distressed yet fascinated with the sight of Daigon Alley before him, Draco found himself terribly alarmed. This would simply not do.

“I say,” Draco began, his open hand barring the man from proceeding. “Are you lost?”

{ poseidonodairheis } Finnick’s brow quirked in annoyance. If she wanted to see him so bad she should have just visited! Locking his jaw the bronze haired man curled his lip trying to hold back how he really felt. “If you wanted to see me so bad you should have just came Katniss! Nothing is stopping you. Jesus! can’t you see that I—” he had almost blurted it out. He bit his tongue, figuratively and literally, wincing in pain he turned away to regain composer. She made him crazy, his heart was racing and his stomach full of butterflies. “Why do you make me feel this way?!”

Of course no Finnick was trying to toss this around on her, like always.  With a slight huff, a roll of silver those arms that crossed her chest fell to her sides.  "It isn't that easy!"  It's venomous, much like his and hissed through clenched teeth.  He was turning away, slowly losing himself and so was Katniss, so to his words she just groaned and began to pace.  

"I make you 'feel this way',"  Her hands moved in exaggeration, eyes staring him down as if he were prey in the woods.  "Hm, I don't know. I don't know what, this way, means because you left me all alone and I haven't talked to you in years!  And that girlfriend you have, yeah -- she's a real winner Finnick.  Good fucking job.  Annie would be so proud."  

Katniss bit her tongue, stopping her stride to look down at her hands before shaking her head.  This was all a big mistake.  "You know what, I shouldn't have come here.  I don't belong here.  And I... I didn't mean that."  Katniss took a deep breath, biting hard on her lip to try and gain some form of composure.  "I just hope you're happy."

"Grandpa, can you watch me really fast? I just wanna make sure this looks okay." Lilly says softly, watching his lips for any kind of answer. 

She stands in front of him in her normal dance outfit--just a simple shirt and sweatpants, and a pair of worn down sneakers. Lilly had placed herself in the living room, which was spacious enough to allow her to practice, at least a little. The carpet made it a bit difficult.

It wasn't long, maybe a minute or so before Katniss was back outside of Finnick's door.  Her phone was stuffed into her pocket, ignoring the last few messages he had sent but know damn well it went along the lines of -- 

-- I'm not a perv and now I feel insecure. 

Without even waiting for him to open up, she gave a knock to warn of her presence and then welcomed herself on in.  "Finnick,"  and she kept her gaze on his face to try and drown out the fact that he was naked.  

As if able to read his mind, it was the same thing every time, she moved across the room and popped up on her tippy toes.  One kiss to his cheek for good measure, then another to his lips.  "You know I find you to be the most attractive man I know," and with that she slipped her hand around him and groped at his behind.  "You know I just get flustered of these kinds of things."

Everdair <3

What I like most about them.

To be honest I hadn't really considered Everdair before until out threads.  I guess our muses just kinda clicked and now I am obsessed with Finnick with Katniss. (Behind Everlark of course; because let's be honest if you don't think Peeta and Katniss are meant to be something is obviously wrong with you.) But I feel that Finnick has the personality and patience to accommodate Katniss and the same vice versa.  She's strong willed but he's just as hard headed and can talk some sense into her.  They share a few moments during the books and movies that make me swoon because he understands Katniss so well.  

What I dislike most about them.

I don't think there is anything I could dislike it.  

Something I think a lot of people misunderstand about them.

Finnick isn't always a snarky man whore.  He only did it to save his family and keep them alive and safe.  He may be sarcastic but there's more, someone just as broken and traumatized from the games.  Katniss isn't a dull.  She's just hard headed and has strong roots.  Honestly Katniss is like the perfect character for this time, where it brings that woman can fend for themselves and make a different.  Together though, these are a great and aspiring couple.  

Have I read any fanfiction that features this character/pairing?

Yes.  It's on fanfiction and it's called Playing With Fire.  A rather messed up read so prepare to sob and feel things you hadn't before.  

An AU I’d like to see with them.

All of ours!  

How I would react if I could meet them in person.

If I met Katniss in person I'd just shake her hand and see if she wanted to go hunting and see just how good she was with the bow.  Not gonna brag but I can feed my family too.  ;) 

If I met Finnick I'd just probably die a little bit on the inside because if he even did that smile around me I'd probably melt to a puddle.  I'd gladly share some secrets for his time, though. 

A secret hobby I could imagine them having.

I can see Finnick as someone who reads, outside of being a flirt and sarcastic... I can see him just resting with a light and a book and indulging into a different world. 

A hobby for Katniss...  It won't happen a lot. But when she misses her mother and Prim a lot I can see her going over the medicine book and trying to make some, even though she wasn't as good of a healer, just to see what it was life and remember them for when they were at their best.
