Hey, this might be a bit of an odd anon, but as you reblogged the post... I recently had an operation on my left knee that's made it really painful and hard for me to actually bend my legs to do important stuff.... like walk properly. Now, I know your kneeling file is a more d/s situation, but it's actually really helped in taking the pain away in the lower part of my body; I can leave the house confidently because I know I'm not going to trip or look like a general idiot (1/2).
Continued: “(2/2) So I guess this is just a thanks. I know it’s, again, not what you intended with the file, but it came about at such a perfect time and honestly I don’t know what I’d do without it <3″
Anon- You’re right- that is not what I intended for that file. But it’s an entirely wonderful unexpected result. :)
I’m so glad you’ve found some healing with it and are feeling better. Some of the techniques in it- the body scan, the attachment and detachment, the picking and pursuing a value- are ideas that are sometimes helpful for people dealing with chronic pain. So, even though pain relief wasn’t my intention, I’m imagining you may have picked up on some of those- and if so would be delighted that you’ve learned a helpful thing for yourself. :) I’m also delighted that you wrote me to tell me. This is seriously a better result than I could have imagined. <3
