Heya lovely! Sorry for taking so long to reply to this! I was running around like crazy yesterday. THANK YOU FOR PLAYING WITH ME, NO ONE EVER WANTS TO PLAY MEMES WITH ME.

5.       Have you ever written anything you would’ve backclicked if it’d been written by anyone else?

Writing is such a weird weird experience sometimes, because absolutely, yes. In fact, sometimes I think I write more stuff I would never be interested in reading than stuff I actually would read? I know people say “write the story you want to read” but that’s not how inspiration works for me. I write the story I want to write and it’s usually a very different story from the one I want to read. The one I want to read is the one I’m enjoying as a reader–it doesn’t need anything from me to exist & be great. 

As a fanfic writer, a lot of what inspires me to write is…not fixing things necessarily, but finding a way to make things make sense for me and using fic as a way to work through things I find flawed for whatever reason. So I produce more Wincest fic when I am not happy with where the boys are in canon, etc.  I guess it’s a good way to push my comfort zone–it’s certainly produced some of my best work. So when it comes to tropes I’m not really interested in, writing my own take on it is usually a good step toward figuring out why other people enjoy that trope and selling it to myself. A good chunk of my most popular stories are things I don’t generally read: college AUs, coffeeshop AUs, kid fics, etc.

6.       What’s your guilty pleasure as a writer?

I don’t really believe in the concept of guilty pleasures. Especially in fandom, which to me is a space so much about loudly owning the interests that we’re shamed about in real life, I don’t really see the point in feeling guilty about loving something I love, or pretending I don’t love it (ask me about #BESTiality). So I’m not entirely sure how to answer!!

I really like to make my faves sad? I don’t feel guilty about it because they cry so pretty, but I suppose I should. I steal things. I mean, I’m writing fanfiction, obviously I steal things. But if there’s a phrasing or writing tick in a book or even another fic that I notice and I think “oh, I like that,” I always get really excited about finding somewhere to test it out in my own writing. Not lines–I don’t steal entire lines, but, like, unique words that get my attention, or the way an author formulates sentences. Should I feel guilty about that? I’m sorry, I feel like I am not really answering this question? I don’t feel guilty about my garbage fanfiction. XD

I LOVE THE ENTIRE VERSE. I /LOVE IT/. I sat down on vacations like a year and a half ago to read all the verse and I cried and loved every bit of it just thinking about your fic makes me wanna cry happy tears, it's such a beautiful story and reading it was one of the best weekends of my life lmao. IT'S JUST PERFECT, ALL OF IT. I even have a tag for it here on my blog for when I see things that remind me of it, lol hope you don't mind! (btw, it's *my url*/tagged/oh-my-queen-my-queen) *u*
