When Possum trapping we do not have to worry about the babies because we remove the moms with the babies inside their pouches.  However, when we get dead possum removal calls we always check their pouch to make sure there aren't any babies.  This one had babies nursing off a dead mother.  I immediately flushed their system and rehabbed them until they were big enough to make it on their own.  

This is the side of the business that I have to handle since I am a licensed wildlife rehabber.  The trapping side I leave to the trappers.  We work harmoniously together.
